Jay Leno reveals how he, wife Mavis have ‘fun’ despite her dementia
Jay Leno “enjoys” taking care of his wife Mavis as she battles advanced dementia.
The former late-night talk show host says the couple have “fun with” dealing with her degenerative condition – which causes a decline in thinking, memory, and reasoning skills – which she was diagnosed with in 2024.
Jay – who married Mavis in 1980, told PEOPLE magazine, “I’ve been very lucky in my life. My wife is fighting dementia and all that, but it’s not cancer. It’s not a tumour, so I enjoy taking care of her.”
He continued, “It’s not work, because people come up, and say they feel so sorry. I understand the sympathy, because I know a lot of people are going through it, but it’s OK.
“I like taking care of her. I enjoy her company, and we have a good time. We have fun with it, and it is what it is,” the NBC comedian added.
However, the 75-year-old TV star said there are times that will be difficult, but Jay is fortunate to be in a position where he can afford to look after Mavis and her medical bills.
Jay – who is worth a reported $450 million, said in conclusion, “There are going to be a couple of years that are tricky. So, the first 46, really great. But it’s OK. It’s not terrible. I’m not a woe-is-me person. I’m just lucky that I am able to take care of her.”
Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz’s romance continues to heat up as the couple spent Christmas Day together at Styles’ family home in Cheshire.
The festive celebration came just weeks after the pair sparked engagement speculation.
The pair was reportedly seen on Boxing Day at a roadside service station on their way back to Style’s Hampstead property.
Dressed casually, the two kept a low profile.
A source told The Mirror, “They…could have been any young couple travelling back from seeing family.”
The appearance came just a few days after the couple’s sighting sent fans into frenzy.
Kravitz could be seen wearing a chunky gold band on her ring finger as she strolled with the former One Direction member through Rome.
Styles and Kravitz were first linked in August 2025.
The couple have been making headlines since then.
They have travelled together across Europe and the U.S., from Rome and Tuscany to London and New York, where Kravitz introduced Style to her family.
On the professional front Kravitz is soon to get busy as work on a new film project will begin in the UK.
Source to The Sun revealed that she will be staying with Style while filming.
Dua Lipa got into the Christmas spirit with her fiancé, Callum Turner, in a new post shared with fans on Instagram.
The Albanian pop star is spending the festive period with her husband-to-be.
It comes after Dua dropped jaw-dropping pictures showing off her fit physique in a skin-baring two-piece after concluding the Latin America leg of her Radical Optimism tour in Mexico City last week.
In the new snaps, the singer could be seen cosying up to the actor as he kissed her on the cheek.
In another photo, the pair flashed big smiles as Dua lay on Callum while he sat on the sofa.
It appeared to be a close-knit family affair, with Dua sharing snaps of her parents, Anesa and Dukagjin as well as her younger siblings Rina and Gjin.
Callum’s mother, Rosemary was also included in the festivities.
Despite her fortunes, Dua and her family played the lottery and could be seen with scratch cards.
Alongside the snaps, Dua penned: ‘It’s all about the Love… and absolutely smashing the cooking this year (all the stars aligned for me after not being in a kitchen for 6 months!!) HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!! SENDING YOU ALL SO MUCH LOVE!!!!!’
Fans were in awe of Dua’s cooking as they flooded her with compliments in the replies.

It comes after the 45-year-old SKIMS founder raised eyebrows over the absence of her eldest daughter, North West, from photos of her Christmas Eve party.
In a recent Christmas Eve vlog shared with fans on Friday via TikTok, Kim revealed that she had the piercings done at Claire’s.
‘Hey guys, so I just want you to know that I recently got my ears pierced at Claire’s in Hawaii. And I have these tiny little earrings in,’ Kardashian explained to the camera.
‘All I like to wear is my Claire’s earrings,’ she continued while taking them out. ‘Because for the longest time, I didn’t have my ears pierced.’
The TV personality then added, ‘Every time I put in an earring, I would like… have to re-pierce it. So, I thought that I would make life easy and just get them done again.
‘As much as I love my Claire’s earrings, every once in a while, a girl’s gotta step it up and put on some Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.’
The reality star later paired the earrings as well as shimmering silver bracelets with a vintage Mugler ensemble.
