‘Spider-Man’ director on whether he will direct superhero movies

Jon Watts gets honest about directing superhero genre

Jon Watts has directed all three Spider-Man movies starring Tom Holland in the Marvel franchise. However, he opted out of helming The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which Matt Shakman directed.

Now, in an interview with Variety, he says he is open to directing the superhero genre again. “I’m open to anything and everything. I’m not limiting myself in that way. I’m most attracted to original ideas.”

He continues, “That’s sort of like the North Star for me — big, original ideas. But there are so many great things already out there that I think you can find a way to make it your own and to make it feel original.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jon opens up about the clown-related horror genre. “I don’t know. It’s just a very visceral thing. It’s hard to talk about clowns post-John Wayne Gacy, because before that, there wasn’t the same sort of evil attached to a clown.”

“A clown was genuinely a positive thing that people liked. I think it’s the mask. It’s the creepy level of makeup and the strange smile that is just genuinely disturbing. Like, yes, there’s a person under there, but you don’t really know who it is.”

“I think that’s what always sort of creeped me out. But I still like good, positive clowns too. There are people that are genuinely good clowns that entertain people. I don’t want everyone to think that all clowns are scary, so I feel a little bad for being a part of that. I know some really great clowns, and I feel a little bit guilty for making everyone be scared of clowns when all clowns really want to do is bring joy and smiles,” he concludes.

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon seem to be shutting down recent breakup speculation by stepping out together for a glamorous Hollywood evening.

As per the latest report by PEOPLE Magazine, the couple enjoyed a fun date night following the Los Angeles premiere of George Clooney, Adam Sandler, and Laura Dern’s new film Jay Kelly at the Egyptian Theatre on Tuesday, November 11.

A source told the outlet that Pitt and de Ramon “arrived early and were very touchy-feely and seemed joined at the hip” throughout the event.

“They looked loved up,” the insider added and noted that Brad “was in a great mood and seemed thrilled to be there to celebrate his friend.”

“Brad and Ines spoke in a group with Clooney for a while and then talked to Bono for a bit.”

Pitt and de Ramon, who have been romantically linked since 2022, appeared in high spirits, with onlookers describing their chemistry as “effortless” and “genuine.”

The public outing comes amid ongoing reports that Pitt’s ongoing legal feud with Angelina Jolie has taken a toll on him and strained his relationship with Ines.

However, their latest sighting suggested that the couple is still going strong despite the speculation.

Kylie Jenner spills details on her role in Charli xcx movie

Kylie Jenner gets candid about her big screen debut

Kylie Jenner is stepping onto the big screen as herself.

The reality star and beauty mogul, 28, revealed on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonder Land podcast on Wednesday that she appears in The Moment, Charli xcx’s upcoming A24 film “based on an original idea” by the musician.

“It’s major, obviously,” Jenner said. “Oh my god, for the Charli movie coming out, I was so scared for days to actually do it. I had a very small part. I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid.”

Jenner explained that the experience pushed her outside her comfort zone. “I used to do a lot more things like that, but now I’m used to being very sheltered, staying in a safe box,” she said.

“It’s probably why I don’t share as much anymore. After years of judgment and criticism, you start protecting yourself. I was terrified to do this, but so proud once I did.”

The Moment follows a rising pop star (played by Charli xcx) navigating fame and industry pressure while preparing for her first arena tour, per Deadline.

Jenner filmed her scenes shortly after the death of her longtime friend and hairstylist, Jesús Guerrero, who passed away in February from a lung infection and fungal disease following a trip to Dubai.

“I had already committed, and then I thought, ‘Wow, I’m in such a bad place. I don’t know if I’ll be okay in a month,’” Jenner said. “I told the director, Aiden Zamiri, ‘I really want to do it. Just give me a chance, I’ll get it together.’”

During that time, Jenner leaned heavily on her family for strength, especially her sister Kim Kardashian, who recently appeared in Hulu’s All’s Fair.

“She was such a big support for me,” Jenner shared. “My family really helped me through that period.”

Ines de Ramon is reportedly doing her best to keep Brad Pitt grounded amid his ongoing legal fight with Angelina Jolie.

According to a new report from RadarOnline.com, de Ramon recently moved into Pitt’s $12 million Hollywood Hills home, which friends described as a “fresh start” for the couple.

However, despite the change of scenery, the shadow of his long-running winery court battle still looms large.

“She’s told him several times that all she wants is peace,” said an insider.

“Ines can see how much this fight is taking out of him. Before every new court filing, he’s restless and barely sleeps, and most of their evenings get swallowed up by calls with his legal team.”

The source added that de Ramon has confided in friends about the toll it has been taking on her.

“She’s joked that it feels like she’s with two versions of Brad — the sweet, grounded one she fell for, and the angry one who just can’t let go.”

Meanwhile, de Ramon’s close friends have reportedly expressed concern over Pitt’s fixation.

“They really like Brad, but they can see how obsessed he’s become,” an insider told the outlet.

“They’ve warned Ines that the way he’s handling things with Angelina might be a bad sign. She’s the mother of his kids, yet he’s being relentless — and that’s starting to make them uneasy.”
