SAG Awards will change name to Actor Awards in 2026
The Screen Actors Guild Awards are now called the Actor Awards.
The show commonly known as the SAG Awards will officially become the Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA in its next incarnation on March 1, 2026, when Netflix will stream the ceremony as it has since 2023.

The move was announced Friday to the board of SAG-AFTRA, the union that presents the awards and represents U.S. film and television actors, among others.
The SAG Awards began in 1995 to annually recognize performances in movies and prime-time TV. They have become an increasingly prominent part of Hollywood’s awards season, in part because all of its nominees and winners tend to be famous faces. It generally comes just before the Academy Awards and is considered a key Oscar bellwether.
SAG-AFTRA explained the change on its website:
“Since the show started over 30 years ago, our iconic statuette has always been called The Actor, and simply evolving the show’s name to align with the award itself made obvious sense,” SAG-AFTRA said. “We wanted to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the show is about for our domestic and global audiences – we honor actors in film and television.”
The organization said the change has been discussed for some time, but didn’t get more specific.

Kris Jenner’s sparks buzz over wrinkled hands after $100k facelift
Kris Jenner shocked onlookers for her appearance following her face-lifting transformation, reportedly costing $100k.
The 70-year-old The Kardashians star was spotted touching down in St. Barts on Tuesday, but while her face drew attention, her hands told a very different story-appearing visibly wrinkled and quickly stealing the spotlight.
Interestingly, the reality star has been hiding her hands in gloves for months, including at her lavish 70th birthday bash, where she wore long black opera gloves.
This comes after the long-standing rumours that she’s undergone cosmetic work on her hands as well. While Jenner’s hands may be one of the few areas revealing her age, that hasn’t stopped speculation about what she may – or may not – have had done.
‘You have to do what makes you feel good,’ she said during an appearance on E!’s Good Work in 2015.
Her most recent facelift – performed by renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Steven M. Levine – was confirmed earlier this year, with Jenner admitting it was time for a ‘refresh.’
The update also comes as Kris has reportedly given her blessing to daughter Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Timothee Chalamet, publicly showing support for the actor.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star posted a picture of a red merch jacket, which she had been gifted, and wrote, “greatest movie ever,” tagging the Dune actor, 30.
The Wonka star and Kylie have been together for more than two years, and insiders have shared that their families have intermingled and all of them really like spending time together.

Emma Heming Willis celebrates 18 years of love with Bruce Willis
Emma Heming Willis is marking a meaningful milestone in her life, celebrating nearly two decades of love with her husband, Bruce Willis.
The model and entrepreneur shared the moment with fans on social media, reflecting on the journey that began long before their 2009 wedding.
In a post shared on Dec. 30, Heming Willis marked 18 years since she and the Die Hard star became a couple.
Alongside a warm photo of the two sitting closely together, she wrote, “18 years ago, he became my boyfriend. With one kiss on the top of my head, time stood still.”
She added simply, “I’m so lucky to know this kind of love.”
The snap showed the couple seated side by side at what appeared to be a quiet dinner, with Willis planting a gentle kiss on his wife’s cheek as she smiled.
The moment captured the intimacy and steadiness that has defined their relationship over the years.
Heming Willis, 47, and the 70-year-old actor share two daughters, Mabel Ray, born in 2012, and Evelyn Penn, born in 2014.
Willis is also father to daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, whom he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore.
Despite blending families and navigating busy careers, the couple has often spoken about the importance of togetherness and prioritising family life.
In a past interview, Heming Willis reflected on the early days of their relationship, recalling how she joined Willis and his children on a family trip to Turks and Caicos in 2007.
“I got to see this other side of Bruce, who was a family man,” she said. “On that trip, I fell for him.”
She also shared that their life together has always been full, busy and joyful, noting that Willis made a point to be present for his children whenever possible.
“If the girls were swimming in the pool, he’d jump in with his clothes on just to make them laugh,” she said, calling him “the ultimate girl dad.”
As she marked the anniversary, Heming Willis’ message reflected gratitude, stability and enduring love, a quiet celebration of a partnership that has continued to grow through every stage of life.
