Jalen Hurts absent from AJ Brown’s wedding as Eagles trade rumors continue to swirl: report
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
It could mean nothing, but then again, the A.J. Brown saga with the Philadelphia Eagles remains a hot topic heading into the 2026 NFL season.
With Brown’s wedding taking place this past weekend, among those not in attendance was Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, according to TMZ.
It’s unknown if Hurts received an invite to Saturday’s event at Montage Laguna Beach in California, or whether he sent his teammate a gift for his big day.

The outlet also reported that there were no Eagles teammates at the wedding, while noting it was also unknown if they were invited as well. A former Eagles teammate, Darius Slay, was in attendance.
Either way, the no-show by Hurts, or any current Eagles players for that matter, simply adds to the mysterious status of Brown and the franchise as rumors have been swirling all offseason.
A.J. BROWN TRADE RUMORS: LATEST NEWS CONCERNING EAGLES’ STAR WIDE RECEIVER
The main tune of those speculating about Brown is that he will be traded to a new squad before the start of the year. And it could be coming very soon with rumors saying he might be on the move June 1, as NFL contracts become more flexible in terms of making trades.
The New England Patriots, who lost in Super Bowl LX to the Seattle Seahawks this past season, have been attached to those rumors the entire time. Many believe they would be a top candidate to land Brown, that is, if the Eagles decide it best to move on from their Pro Bowl receiver.
What isn’t a rumor is Brown’s frustration with his role in Philadelphia, especially this past season under offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, who was fired from his post heading into 2026. Throughout the season, Brown made direct, as well as subtle, remarks about his usage despite the Eagles setting themselves up to reach the playoffs.

When they got there, the San Francisco 49ers took down the reigning Super Bowl champions in the Wild Card Round at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
During the year, Brown did everything from calling the Eagles a “s— show” during a Twitch live stream, to cracking jokes about his usage during streamed games of Madden.
In the case of Brown’s wedding, it’s also worth noting Hurts’ absence considering the signal caller is the godfather of the receiver’s daughter, Jersee. They have a long-standing friendship that began before their time together in Philadelphia.
Brown’s production immediately skyrocketed when he was traded to the Eagles before the 2022 season, tallying a career-high 1,496 yards on 88 catches with 11 touchdowns while catching passes from Hurts for the first time. He followed that up with 1,456 yards on 106 receptions and seven touchdowns in 2023, his second straight Pro Bowl season.

The Eagles ended up defeating the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2024 campaign, but Brown saw his production dip to 67 catches for 1,079 yards despite scoring seven times once more. The addition of All-Pro running back Saquon Barkley, who won Offensive Player of the Year in 2024, impacted the need to throw the football.
Then, Brown had the lowest production in yards since his 2021 season in last year’s performance for the Eagles, tallying 1,003 on 78 grabs with seven touchdowns.

Lamar Jackson absent from Ravens OTA as new coach Jesse Minter downplays voluntary practice skip
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
The Baltimore Ravens were without their two-time NFL MVP quarterback when Tuesday’s organized team activities (OTAs) began.
Why Lamar Jackson was absent from Tuesday’s media-open practice remains unclear. Monday’s voluntary OTAs were closed to reporters. New Ravens coach Jesse Minter offered little explanation but downplayed concerns about Jackson’s absence and suggested the star quarterback would return soon.
“Lamar’s been one of our leaders of the offseason program, and he had a couple things going on yesterday and today, and I do expect him to be back soon,” Minter said. “We’ve had some great conversations. I know when he’s going to be back and again, I’ll probably leave those between me and Lamar.”

Minter replaced John Harbaugh, who was dismissed in January after 18 seasons as the Ravens’ head coach. The New York Giants hired Harbaugh shortly after his departure from Baltimore.
Jackson’s attendance at voluntary offseason activities has drawn attention because of its inconsistency throughout his NFL career. It’s hard to say how much that matters, but it’s certainly an issue critics have pointed to from time to time. His contract, with two years remaining, has also been a significant topic lately after he and the Ravens did not agree to an extension before the start of free agency. Baltimore instead restructured Jackson’s deal to create cap space.

The Ravens held minicamp in April — the first under Minter — and Jackson was in attendance.
At the end of Tuesday’s OTAs, the team took part in a little game in which players from the offense and defense competed at throwing medicine balls. Minter said that’s part of preparing the team to play well in the most important moments.

“We end practice every day (with an) ‘At our best when our best is needed’ period, and so that could be anything different. Today, we decided to do a little friendly competition,” Minter said.
“Right now, you can’t really do the football competition, and so I thought it would be something different, something fun. I try to get guys to not know what’s about to happen and answer the bell when their number’s called, and it’s as simple as that. That’s really all we’re trying to get done with that and make it fun, have the guys pull for each other.”

Star running back Derrick Henry caused a brief scare after a knee-to-knee collision with another player. Though he stayed down momentarily, he later returned to practice.
“The ground felt like a bed for a little while,” he said. “And I saw you all (reporters) looking hot and bored, so I was like, ‘I need to give them something to tweet and write about.’”

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice jailed for 30 days after probation violation and it could get worse
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is seemingly incapable of staying out of trouble during an NFL offseason, because he is in jail for violating his probation that he was sentenced to last offseason for a reckless driving charge from the 2024 offseason.
That is a lot of offseason mess-ups by Rice.
The latest came Tuesday when he was found to have tested positive for marijuana (THC) in violation of the July 2025 plea agreement that put him on five years probation and ordered him to serve 30 days in jail over a five-year span.
Rice was booked into Dallas County, Texas, jail on Tuesday and will serve his 30 days. He is scheduled for release on June 16.

The violation order sends Rice immediately to jail for the 30 days he was originally sentenced to serve within five years during his trial rather than add an extra 30 days. In last year’s trial, Rice also had to pay a total of $115,481.91 in restitution to the crash victims for their out-of-pocket medical expenses.
With Rice in jail for the next 30 days, he will miss the remainder of the Chiefs OTAs (May 26-28 and June 1-3) and their mandatory minicamp on June 9-11.
The violation was first uncovered by Kansas City’s KSHB 41 News and confirmed by OutKick and Fox News.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS’ RASHEE RICE HIT WITH LAWSUIT FROM EX-GIRLFRIEND ALLEGING DOMESTIC ABUSE: REPORT
“We are aware of the report and will decline further comment at this time,” the NFL said.
The Chiefs didn’t immediately responded to an email seeking comment.
But things could definitely get worse for Rice.
It is possible this violation of his probation agreement could trigger a new investigation under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.
RASHEE RICE SUSPENDED SIX GAMES BY NFL
Rice served a six-game suspension for violating that policy last year in connection to his driving offense and trial.
Rice actually seemed to get off light with that suspension because it was a negotiated deal with the league. The NFL originally wanted Rice’s suspension to span a double-digit number of games, per a source. Rice wanted to miss no more than a month, per a source, and the sides agreed to the deal before hearing officer Sue L. Robinson ruled on the matter.

A new Personal Conduct Policy investigation could lead to Rice missing more games when the 2026 regular season begins.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, have an obvious problem on their hands.

Rice, one of the team’s better receivers with 156 catches his first three NFL seasons, has proven that he cannot be trusted to stay out of trouble. It is possible the club could fine Rice for missing their mandatory minicamp.
Rice last year pleaded guilty to a charge of collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury – both third-degree felonies.
Rice was unavailable for comment on Tuesday — because he’s in jail.

Pro wrestling podcaster Dwayne Swayze talks teaming with MVP for show, partnership with BZZR
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
The adage, “never meet your heroes” has been a proverb used to keep people from having high expectations of those they look up to or idolize.
For pro wrestling podcaster Dwayne Swayze, the phrase couldn’t have been more wrong.
Swayze teamed up with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star MVP to create the “Marking out with MVP and Dwayne Swayze” podcast, focused on providing an outlet for wrestling fans to listen to in-depth interviews with their favorite stars from all wrestling backgrounds.

As the podcast partners with BZZR, Swayze shared with Fox News Digital the story about how he got involved with MVP in the first place. He said he watched MVP at WrestleMania 25 in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match and days later the pro wrestler was in his studio trying to record his own music for his entrance theme.
“All of a sudden, six months after being at WrestleMania 25, my favorite wrestler walks directly in. I couldn’t believe it. And nobody knew how big of a wrestling fan I was but I refused to go to the studio on Mondays or Fridays for ‘Raw’ and, there might’ve even been a Thursday back then, for ‘SmackDown.’ I’m not working at all during those times,” he recalled. “So, he walks in, so we were able to forge a relationship and the very first song he ever released, I was just in the studio sitting in the back watching my favorite wrestler and he’s rapping. He’d ask for some pointers every now and then. And I don’t know him enough to say anything because I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe you’re here.’ And he finishes on this song – two verses. And he looks over at me and says, ‘Hey, you, you wanna do the other verse?’ And I’m like, ‘Of course, of course I do.’
“And ever since then, we’d be in the studio and we’re chatting, I would always ask a wrestling related question being the huge fan that I am. Something along the lines of, ‘OK, at the 2008 Royal Rumble, you’re wrestling Ric Flair, he’s on his retirement tour, you, Mr. Kennedy. He’s eventually going to face Shawn Michaels and that is going to be the end of his career and when you guys are at Madison Square Garden, it was reported that he was having confidence issues, what were you saying to him in the ring right before the bell rang?’ And he’d tell me and this is what would be going on for 15 years. And in October 2024, I asked him a question and his response to me was, ‘This should be a show.’ … But that’s how we got here.”

MVP, Dwayne Swayze and Kayla Becker have all partnered with the sports-focused social media platform BZZR. (BZZR)
Swayze said BZZR offers sports fans a break from the regular noise they would see on the major social media platforms, adding that BZZR cuts out the noise and keeps it sports focused.
“BZZR launched with I think 10,000 videos, 500 verified creators – Josh Pate (college football), Brett Kollmann (NFL), of course, Kayla Becker is like hosting everything, Kenny Beecham and the joy of basketball with the NBA,” he said. “Not only those creators, there’s also podcasst. And out of the 500-plus creators that exist, you get sports across the landscape with just top-quality sports across the landscape.
“No rage bait, you’re not going to be finding those little things. If you compare to Twitter/X, the people that you follow on your timeline, that’s not all you see. You end up seeing some things you didn’t necessarily sign up for and with BZZR, you’re only going to see sports.”
Of course, pro wrestling will be the theme of “Marking Out.”

WWE and AEW own the mainstream conversation when it comes to pro wrestling – at least in North America, if not the world.
Swayze talked to Fox News Digital about some of the good things he’s been seeing with both companies.
“Some of the good things that I’m seeing … Well, outside my ‘Tribal Chief’ (Roman Reigns), you must acknowledge him, there’s a big youth movement of course,” he said. “In WWE, I’m loving to see Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Sol Ruca. AEW, ‘where the best wrestle,’ of course, where MVP’s at right now. I really like Kyle Fletcher, Megan Bayne is awesome, Kevin Knight. I’m loving to see the changes of how things were in the past and how it is now.

“These guys have so much more pressure on them than the stars from yesterday. I kinda compare it to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. They have to live in the social media era and us as fans, the expectation is to see our star – we see them on television, we see them on their socials, a dirt sheet might pull them up, there’s podcasts. There’s just so much but they’re doing their thing. They’re still performing. They’re still entertaining us. They’re putting themselves out there. As a fan, I definitely appreciate it.”
