India’s arrogance pushed US closer to Pakistan, says ex-US general
- We are now becoming much closer to Pakistan: ex-US general.
- Mark Kimmitt says development should concern New Delhi.
- President Trump has cordial relationship with COAS Munir, he adds.
Retired US brigadier general Mark Kimmitt has said that Washington’s growing closeness with Pakistan is largely due to India’s arrogance.
Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the retired US general said that President Donald Trump has established a cordial relationship with Field Marshal Asim Munir — a development he said should concern New Delhi.
“India’s arrogance that’s been displayed to President Trump manifests itself in the fact that we are now becoming much closer to Pakistan,” he said.
“Field Marshal Munir has now a bromance with President Trump that should actually give India some pause,” Kimmitt added.
Friction between Modi and Trump grew after the US president repeatedly spoke about how he prevented a nuclear war — an assertion that India rejected, insisting the ceasefire was agreed upon directly between the two nations.
The tensions came to a head in a June 17 phone call with Narendra Modi, which was held after Trump left the Group of Seven summit in Canada early and couldn’t meet the Indian leader in person.
Field Marshal Munir last visited the US in June, where he held a rare one-on-one meeting with Trump at the White House Cabinet Room.
The June visit took place against the backdrop of an armed Pakistan-India conflict, during which Washington helped broker a ceasefire following Indian strikes inside Pakistan, which New Delhi claims targeted those responsible for the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Pakistan responded with Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, downing multiple Indian fighter jets.
A day earlier, PM Modi had said that New Delhi and Washington still shared “very positive” ties.
The Indian PM, in a social media statement, expressed optimism about New Delhi’s relation with Washington after President Trump reaffirmed his personal friendship with the Indian premier and downplayed his earlier remarks about “losing India” to China.
“Deeply appreciate and fully reciprocate President Trump’s sentiments and positive assessment of our ties,” Modi wrote on X, adding that India and the United States shared a “very positive and forward-looking comprehensive and global strategic partnership”.
Earlier, Trump told reporters that he “will always be friends with Modi”.
“India and the United States have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about,” Trump said, downplaying his earlier remarks about “losing India” to China.

‘RHOA’ alum and Kim Zolciak’s ex was 68
Lee “Big Poppa” Najjar, the real estate investor famously known as the mystery benefactor on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has died at the age of 68.
His death was confirmed on Tuesday by his daughter, Katelin, who shared a touching tribute on her Instagram Story featuring a video of the pair dancing in a car.
While a specific cause of death for the businessman has not yet been made public, he leaves behind his wife, Kimberly, and their four children, Katelin, Jeremy, Jared, and Jamen.
Najjar became a central figure in reality television history during the first season of RHOA in 2008, though his face was never actually shown on screen at the time.
Kim Zolciak, one of the show’s original breakout stars, famously kept his identity a secret, referring to him only by the nickname “Big Poppa.”
He was well-known to viewers as the man who funded Zolciak’s extravagant lifestyle, providing the financial backing for her luxury cars and designer wardrobe while they navigated a complicated, on-again, off-again romance.
Their relationship was the subject of much debate among the Atlanta housewives, particularly because Najjar was still legally married to his wife while dating Zolciak, though the reality star maintained they were estranged.
Before the Season 1 reunion, Zolciak revealed that they had been engaged and described him as a great person who was wonderful to her daughters.
She admitted at the time that she was crazy about him and that he remained a significant part of her daily life, even as they struggled to move their relationship forward.
The couple eventually split for good in 2009 after Zolciak referred to him as the love of her life but acknowledged it was time to move on.
She later moved on to marry Kroy Biermann in 2011, a relationship that ended in a high-profile separation in 2023.
Despite the years that have passed since his time in the Bravo spotlight, Najjar remains a legendary figure for long-time fans of the franchise.
His daughter’s tribute, set to the track Dancing in the Sky, marks a quiet end for a man whose presence once loomed so large over the world of reality TV.

Google debuts ‘workspace intelligence’ to power AI agents across gmail, docs, chat
Google has introduced “Workspace intelligence” at its Cloud Next ‘26 conference on Wednesday, April 22.
This new feature aims at connecting emails, chats, files, and projects across Google Workspace for AI-powered context.
With this intelligence, Google will sync data across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Chat, enabling Gemini-powered agents to assess what a user is trying to accomplish.
“Ask Gemini in Google Chat” is one of the components, which functions as an integrated command line that facilitates work.
It enables users to ask for briefings for the day, create documents and presentations, get files from descriptions, and even book meetings, all through Chat itself. This feature works seamlessly with other applications such as Asana, Jira, and Salesforce.
Other significant updates are natural-language spreadsheet building in Sheets, infographic generation in Docs embedded with business data, and one-pass slide deck creation in Slides with the help of company templates.
While introducing the new sync system, Google also stressed data security. The officials confirmed that Workspace Intelligence operates using infrastructure that is compliant and does not use customer data for advertisements or machine learning without their consent.
The deployment includes administrative controls, client-side encryption, and sovereign data control capabilities for both the US and EU.
Additionally, the company also announced its eighth-generation TPU chips.
The new chips provide 2.8x better price-performance and the TPU 8i for inference, offering 80% better performance-per-dollar.
The series of new features is not completed yet, and the company is expected to roll out more in future.
