Brazil’s cotton exports fell 10 per cent in January–July 2025 to $2.69 billion, but shipments to Pakistan surged 121 per cent, making it Brazil’s top market.
Pakistan’s share doubled to 17.18 per cent as its textile industry sought reliable fibre amid weak domestic output.
Meanwhile, China’s share fell sharply to 9.17 per cent.
The shift highlights Asia’s dominance.
