Join Easy Agile, a bootstrapped Australian start-up, as a mid-level Data Analyst and play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights. You will work with existing data models and pipelines, build analytical views using dbt and Snowflake, design dashboards in Metabase, and investigate data quality issues. Requirements

  • You’re curious by nature and love digging into data to find the “why” behind the numbers
  • You have strong analytical skills and experience working with SQL, Python and BI tools
  • You’re confident with data visualisation and know how to present findings in ways that are clear and compelling
  • You have experience working with dimensional data models and understand concepts like fact and dimension tables
  • You’re proficient in dbt and comfortable building and maintaining models that support robust, scalable analytics
  • You apply strong data visualisation and design principles and are confident using BI tools effectively
  • You get energy from collaborating with others, asking great questions and tailoring your communication to suit your audience
  • You’re detail oriented and care about data accuracy, testing and maintaining data trust
  • You’re always looking for ways to improve how things work and enjoy contributing to a culture of continual learning

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and answer complex business questions through data analysis
  • Build analytical views on top of our Kimball-style data models using dbt and Snowflake
  • Design interactive dashboards in Metabase (and future BI tools) that make insights accessible to everyone across the company
  • Investigate data quality issues and work with the data team, stakeholders and external parties to resolve discrepancies
  • Partner with cross functional teams to understand their reporting needs and deliver self-service solutions
  • Translate business requirements into analytical approaches, clearly communicating findings and recommendations
  • Help improve data literacy across the company by running education sessions, providing training on self service analytics tools and supporting teams to interpret and act on insights
  • Document your methodologies and continuously improve data and reporting assets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience working in a SaaS business or with Atlassian tools
  • Have experience with advanced data visualisation techniques
  • Are familiar with basic machine learning concepts, predictive modeling and statistical techniques
