Expert breaks down what makes Prince Harry, Meghan Markle stick together

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle names the one key reason the duo continue to stick together despite divorce rumors

Amid rumors of an impending divorce, an expert comes forward with insight into why he thinks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are possibly end game.

The expert that in question is royal expert Duncan Larcombe and he recently sat down with The Mirror to dish on what he thinks makes the Sussexes click.

The conversation began with him saying, “There have been times in their marriage where it’s been Meghan and Harry against the world.”

Furthermore, according to Mr Larcombe, “a clear theme from when they first met in the very beginning, has been how protective Harry is of Meghan. He’s a very loyal husband – much more so than most, because Meghan gets an awful lot of negative publicity, especially online.”

Not to mention, “we’ve seen Harry supporting her in court cases, and also speaking out against those people that have wronged Meghan, which in his mind has included the Princess of Wales, Catherine.”

“There’s also been a lot of heartbreak in their marriage but their similar past experiences and traumas are what holds them together and makes them stronger.”

For those unversed, there have been many an incidents described in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, that highlight just how bad Meghan Markle’s mental health was during their time in the UK.

Whether it was due to tabloid news or rumored rifts within the Firm, with senior members like Prince William and Kate Middleton, reports erupted like wild fires during the Sussexes’ short tenure as full time royals.

A revelation was also made that Meghan Markle started feeling suicidal at one point.

The Duchess revealed it back in 2024 with CBS Sunday Morning, for their Parents Network initiative and said, “When you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey, certainly part of mine, is being able to be really open about it. And I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience. But I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way.”

“And I would never want someone else to be making those sorts of plans. And I would never want someone else to not be believed. If me voicing what I have overcome will save someone, or encourage someone in their life to really, genuinely check in on them, and not assume that the appearance is good so everything’s okay, then that’s worth it. I’ll take a hit for that.”

Miley Cyrus reveals inspiration behind ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ song

Miley Cyrus on ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

Miley Cyrus is opening up about the deeply personal inspiration behind her new song for Avatar: Fire and Ash, revealing how her own life experiences shaped the emotional core of the track.

The Grammy-winning singer, 33, wrote the song Dream as One for the third installment of James Cameron’s blockbuster franchise, and she says the message came directly from her own journey of loss, rebuilding, and resilience.

Speaking about the project, Cyrus explained that the title of the film itself immediately resonated with her life story.

“In the title alone, Fire and Ash, I’ve had my own experience with rebuilding from the ground up,” she shared.

Cyrus famously lost her Malibu home in the 2018 wildfires, an experience that deeply changed her perspective. That sense of starting over, she said, became the emotional foundation for the song.

The timing of the project also felt meaningful.

Reflecting on the devastating wildfires that struck parts of Los Angeles in early 2025, Cyrus explained that the song naturally evolved into a message about unity and healing.

“Lately we’ve all had this idea of being there for each other and stepping in when your people need it,” she said, adding that it’s about community, chosen family and finding strength together.

For Cyrus, that theme mirrors the heart of Avatar: Fire and Ash, which continues the story of Jake and Neytiri as they face new loss and challenges.

She said the film’s message aligns closely with her own outlook on resilience. “The ability to rise again,” she noted, “is really what this story is about.”

Unlike her usual songwriting process, Cyrus worked differently this time.

She explained that she was able to see the film while it was still in progress, allowing her to shape the music around its emotional arc.

“I got to feel like I was part of building it,” she said, adding that the experience helped her connect deeply with the story’s themes.

The singer also reflected on how her past has influenced her creativity, referencing the loss of her home as something that ultimately reshaped her outlook.

She previously called that experience “the biggest blessing” of her life, saying it taught her that growth often comes from hardship.

With Avatar: Fire and Ash now in theaters, Cyrus says she’s proud to be part of a project that celebrates resilience, connection and hope, themes she believes resonate far beyond the screen.

King Charles and Princess Kate receive surprising news about cancer battle

Kate is in remission from cancer while Charles’ treatment is being scaled down

King Charles and Princess Kate share a deeply personal battle with cancer. And now, a newly uncovered historical link shows their families were united in that fight long before either was born.

According to research uncovered by Australian historian Michael Reed and reported by The Telegraph, ancestors of the monarch and the Princess of Wales worked together nearly a century ago to advance cancer research. In 1925, King Charles’ great-uncle, the sixth Earl of Harewood, and Princess Kate’s great-great-great uncle, Sir Charles Lupton, helped establish the British Empire Cancer Campaign’s Yorkshire Council.

The discovery comes as both royals have faced cancer treatment in recent years. Kate is now in remission following chemotherapy, while the King is expected to scale back his treatment in the new year.

Reed found that Viscount Henry Lascelles served as the council’s first president, with Sir Charles Lupton acting as its vice-president. Princess Mary, King Charles’ great-aunt, later took on the role of president until her death in 1965. Their work is being marked with a centenary booklet titled “a century of saving lives,” alongside a commemorative ball at Castle Howard.

“I felt it was very poignant that although the Princess and King Charles’s ancestors were both aristocratic men, they chose to get their hands dirty doing really tough campaigning for a disease which, in 1925, perplexed most leading scientists,” Reed said.

He added, “I think this new knowledge of both their families having an historically strong connection to cancer research will add to both the King and Princess’s determination to continue fighting the disease.”

Earlier this month, the King echoed that commitment in a Stand Up to Cancer message, saying, “I know from my own experience that a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming,” while urging the public to prioritise early screening.

Walton Goggins praises Macaulay Culkin’s ‘uniquely suited’ role in ‘Fallout’ season 2

Macaulay Culkin stars as Lacerta Legate in ‘Fallout’ season 2

Walton Goggins has nothing but admiration for his new Fallout co-star, Macaulay Culkin.

Speaking about Culkin’s surprise debut in season 2 of the Prime Video series, Goggins revealed that he was caught off guard by the casting.

But he quickly realized how perfectly the Home Alone actor fit into the apocalyptic world.

“I didn’t know about him because they don’t tell me a lot of things,” Goggins admitted in a recent interview with People.

“Justin [Theroux] I knew about, obviously, and Jon [Gries] and a few other people, but Macaulay I didn’t know about,” Goggins admitted, recalling how the news of Culkin’s involvement came as a surprise.

“When they told me, I just lit up because I think the world of him. We had such a great time on Righteous Gemstones and we became friends after that.”

For Goggins, Culkin’s casting was more than just a reunion with a former co-star.

“The way he fits into this world is so specific and he is so uniquely suited for it,” he said, emphasizing how Culkin’s thoughtful approach to the role elevated the performance.

Showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet echoed the sentiment, praising Culkin’s creative vision for the character.

“He had this very particular read on the kind of character that he wanted to play within the Legion and I think he really brought that to the screen,” she explained.

For the unversed, new episodes of Fallout season 2 debut Wednesdays on Prime Video until the finale on February 4, 2026
