France’s Balenciaga unveils 3D weaving & vegan silk for Spring 26
Balenciaga’s Spring 26 collection introduces 3D weaving with Weffan and a bioengineered silk alternative with AMSilk, advancing fashion technology and sustainability.
The software-driven 3D weaving embeds structure into fabric, cutting waste and production time, while the lab-grown silk uses 97 per cent less water and emits 81 per cent less CO2 than conventional silk.
