Gold prices continued to climb on Tuesday as investors turned towards safe haven assets amid growing political instability in Venezuela and rising US-Latin America tensions. On the domestic front, February gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rose by Rs 445, or 0.32%, to Rs 1,38,565 per 10 grams, with 14,949 lots traded. Internationally, Comex February gold futures advanced $24.9, or 0.56%, closing at $4,476.4 per ounce. Jigar Trivedi, senior research analyst at Reliance Securities, the yellow metal “rose above $4,450 per ounce, marking a third consecutive session of gains, driven by increased demand for safe-haven assets amid political turmoil in Venezuela.”Here is how much gold costs in your city today:
