Govt proposes increase in petrol, diesel rates – SUCH TV

Another wave of inflation looms as a hike in petrol and diesel prices has been proposed. According to sources, the price of petrol may be increased by Rs1.54 per litre, raising the rate from Rs264.61 to Rs266.15 after approval.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel is proposed to go up by Rs4.79 per litre, taking it from Rs269.99 to Rs274.78.

In addition, the price of kerosene oil is suggested to rise by Rs3.60 per litre, while light diesel oil may see an increase of Rs3.68 per litre.

After approval, the new prices will be implemented from Monday midnight.
