Marianne Timmer says she clashed with Snoop Dogg’s security at Olympics

Former Olympic speed skater Marianne Timmer claimed she had a tense encounter with Snoop Dogg’s security team during the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The 51-year-old attended the men’s 1,000-meter speed skating race on February 12, where the 54-year-old was also present to cheer on Team USA.

Speaking to Dutch outlet Sportnieuws, Timmer alleged that one of the rapper’s security guards mistook her for a fan and pushed her against a wall.

“I was standing against a wall, and one of the security guards pushed me even closer. I said, ‘Just act normal,’” she recalled.

“Then the guy came back, and I said, ‘What?! Do I have to go through that wall or something?’”

Timmer, who now works as a media commentator, explained she was waiting to speak with Dutch athletes Jennings de Boo, Joep Wennemars and Kjeld Nuis.

De Boo went on to win silver in the race, while American Jordan Stolz took gold.

She further claimed that security at the event was unusually strict, noting she witnessed another Dutch spectator being “roughly escorted away” by guards.

“I could just picture myself being grabbed by the neck and thrown out,” she said.

Us Weekly reported that Snoop Dogg has attended multiple Olympic events since the Games began on February 6.

The rapper was named Team USA’s first-ever honorary coach in December 2025, a role he described as a chance to “cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines.”

Beyond speed skating, Snoop has been spotted supporting athletes in snowboarding, skiing and curling.

He also appeared on NBC’s Today show, reflecting on his role, “Being a mentor, being a coach, being a life coach and just an ear, somebody to listen to, somebody to be there for them. And that’s what I love about this position of Coach Snoop.”

Fans make Ryan Reynolds bid $25k for hat at auction

Ryan Reynolds found himself $25,000 lighter on Sunday night after being cheerfully pressured by a Broadway audience into winning a charity auction for a hat worn by Jonathan Groff in his final performance of Just in Time.

Groff’s closing night as Bobby Darin gave theatregoers the chance to bid on his signed hat, with all proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The bidding opened at $5,000 and climbed fast, leaving Reynolds visibly taken aback as he found himself in a battle with other audience members.

“Wow,” he could be seen mouthing as the numbers rose, before he bid $20,000.

The crowd wasn’t done with him yet.

“We love you, Ryan,” someone called out, as the MC kept the pressure on. “You know I want more, 21?”

When Reynolds appeared to hesitate, she was blunt about it: “Well, we could just end it if you want to do a big number. It’s for charity, honey!”

That did the trick. Reynolds stood up and shouted, “25!”, and the hat was his.

Groff, 41, personally hand-delivered the prize, the two embracing and chatting before Reynolds attempted to pop the hat on his daughter’s head.

Reynolds, 49, was at the theatre with his wife Blake Lively and three of their four children, James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6.

Lively sat behind her husband with Betty, while Reynolds was flanked by James and Inez. Their youngest, three-year-old son Olin, was not at the show.

Channing Tatum reflects on ‘rough’ recovery after shoulder surgery

Channing Tatum reflects on ‘rough’ recovery after shoulder surgery

Channing Tatum has given fans an honest update on his recovery from emergency shoulder surgery, admitting the experience has taken a significant mental toll, but saying he is finally starting to feel like himself again.

The actor, 45, shared a video to Instagram on 30 March showing his healing scar and reflecting on what the past two months have been like.

“It’s a good day, finally. This has been a rough one. I’ve been mentally up and down in my head more than I think I’ve ever been in my life,” he said.

In the caption, he went further: “This one has been the lowest of the lows. But starting to come out the other side. Feeling better than I have in months mentally.”

Tatum first shared news of the surgery in a hospital post on 4 February, writing simply: “Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it.”

He had undergone emergency surgery for a separated shoulder.

A follow-up post on 19 February showed the scar in its early stages of healing, raised and bumpy in a way he hadn’t anticipated. “I thought it was gonna be two little holes,” he said at the time.

The most recent video tells a different story.

Standing shirtless in the sun, Tatum showed the mark has faded considerably.

“The scar is actually healing up pretty nice. I’m getting some mobility back. It’s atrophied so much though. I feel like a toddler in the gym,” he said.

The timing matters because Tatum has been given the green light to resume training for his next film, a love story set around the Isle of Man TT motorcycle race, which begins shooting in six weeks.

“It’s gonna be a grind. Wish me some luck,” he said. The countdown is on.

How much will PS6 cost? 00 price tag predicted for 2028 launch

How much will PS6 cost? $1000 price tag predicted for 2028 launch

Gamers need to start saving now to secure the highly anticipated PlayStation 6 (PS6).

Industry analysts warn the PS6 and Microsoft Xbox are likely to launch with eye-watering $1,000 price tags.

The recent forecasts arrive following Sony’s announcement of another PS5 price hike. After increase in prices, PS5 Pro now cost around $900 in the United States.

The increase in gaming console prices is due to increase in components and manufacturing costs, coupled with currency fluctuations.

The same factors were attributed to the price hike of the latest round of increases, which affected the standard PS5, PS5 Digital Edition, and PS5 Pro.

Additionally, Microsoft’s next console, internally codenamed as “Project Helix,” is unlikely to cost less, particularly the 2TB Xbox Series X, which is not available for $800 without major power upgrades.

With the increase in price, concerns have been raised regarding the accessibility of these consoles.

Amid this wave of price increases, Nintendo stands as an exception. Its Switch line remains at an affordable end. However, it can’t stay immune to industry-wide cost pressure for longer times.

It is anticipated that PS6 and the next Xbox will launch around 2028.
