Topshop’s stockist deal with Liberty may have grabbed the biggest headlines but another British brand expanding in the high-end London department store is also significant.
Rixo, the vintage-inspired womenswear brand, has announced “an exciting chapter in its growth journey” with the opening of two “highly anticipated” retail locations: a flagship store on Westbourne Grove and a fresh, dedicated space within Liberty London.
The 10-year-old company said the Liberty London concession “marks a homecoming of sorts for the brand, returning to one of the capital’s most beloved heritage retail spaces”.
Meanwhile, the Westbourne Grove store “will serve as a style destination for the Notting Hill community and beyond, offering the brand’s full ready-to-wear and bridal collections”. The store’s design reflects the label’s “distinctive aesthetic, combining modern British charm with eclectic, vintage-inspired interiors”.
Both openings form part of Rixo’s broader (and London-focused) retail expansion strategy, complementing its “thriving” e-commerce platform and existing King’s Road flagship store as well as the Marylebone and Carnaby Street.
CEO and co-founder Henrietta Rix said: “Westbourne Grove has such a vibrant, creative energy that feels so aligned with our brand, while Liberty is a true British institution – being part of their curated offering is a dream come true.”
