  • Friend allegedly pawned 67 tolas of doctor’s gold.
  • Three suspects in custody, one key suspect absconding.
  • Strangled in Jinnahabad, body buried near Thandiani.

Dr Warda, a medical officer at Abbottabad’s DHQ Hospital, was abducted outside the facility and killed barely an hour later, District Police Officer Haroon ur Rasheed has said, while sources say the case is tied to 67 tolas of gold she had entrusted to a friend for safekeeping.

According to the MS DHQ Hospital, the post-mortem examination of murdered medical officer Dr Warda has been completed, and the report will be made public soon.

The sources said she had been serving as a medical officer at the DHQ Hospital and, with her husband abroad, was living at home with her children. The DPO said she was abducted outside the DHQ Hospital on December 4, and her body was recovered four days later.

The sources said that around the time of her planned departure abroad, Dr Warda was worried about 67 tolas of gold in her possession. A female suspect, identified as her friend Rida Jadoon, allegedly gained her confidence and persuaded her to deposit the 67 tolas of gold with her as an amanat (safekeeping).

Police later found that this gold had been pawned elsewhere and that Rs5 million had already been obtained against it.

In the murder case, police have so far arrested three suspects: prime suspect Rida Jadoon, her employee, Nadeem, and Pervaiz, who is a relative of Nadeem. Another key suspect, Shamraiz, who is Nadeem’s uncle, remains at large.

The sources said that the three related suspects belong to the same village from which Dr Warda’s body was recovered. Police sources added that raids have been conducted at multiple locations, including Peshawar, to arrest the absconding suspect.

According to investigators, the suspects first took Dr Warda to an under-construction house in Jinnahabad. DPO Rasheed told a press conference that she was strangled to death and that she was killed barely an hour after being abducted, before her body was taken and buried near Thandiani. He said both vehicles used in the crime have been seized.

The suspects had gained Dr Warda’s trust, particularly Rida, and had her gold stored with them. On the day she was murdered, they made her write cheques which were later presented at the bank but bounced, while she had already been killed within an hour of her abduction.

The three arrested suspects have now been produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court, which approved a three-day physical remand after investigators had requested 15 days. Police added that Rida’s husband, Waheed, has also been named in the case.

50 Cent gives verdict on murder allegations against Diddy

Diddy’s nemesis 50 Cent gets into rarely known details about rapper’s life

50 Cent opened up Sean Diddy Combs’ life to viewers in his documentary, Diddy: The Reckoning, and shared his opinion on the rapper’s involvement in the unsolved Tupac Shakur’s murder case.

The 50-year-old musician brought up the murder-for-hire allegations against the disgraced music mogul and noted that he doesn’t think the Last Night rapper would be charged for the case now.

“He’s already been implicated,” 50 Cent shared, adding that he cannot be investigated if the murder claims he wasn’t paid, in conversation with Us Weekly. Duane “Keefe D” Davis previously stated that Diddy had offered him $1 million to kill Shakur, back in 1996.

The Bad Boy Records founder denied the claims in 2008, and Davis was arrested in September 2023 and is scheduled for trial in 2026.

The In Da Club hitmaker documented the music mogul’s history in the Netflix documentary that he produced, and claimed that he remained truthful to his life, despite their long-ongoing feud.

“[The Reckoning] shows his full story. Puff cares a lot about legacy, everybody knows that. This doc doesn’t shy away from any part of it. The success, the trauma, the power, the contradictions … all of it. He might not like every single thing that’s said, but I think he’ll respect the scope of it. It’s honest. It’s complete,” 50 Cent told the outlet.

Sam Asghari still ‘respects’ ex Britney Spears

Sam Asghari talks about marriage to ex-wife Britney Spears

Sam Asghari is keeping things respectful when it comes to his ex-wife, Britney Spears.

The actor, 31, opened up about their past relationship in a new interview with Playgirl, sharing that he holds nothing but admiration for the pop star, 44, despite their marriage ending in 2024.

Asghari referenced an Iranian proverb that advises never speaking ill of someone with whom you’ve shared a bond.

“And whatever follows is irrelevant,” he told the magazine.

“So, I always want to respect that. I’m always going to stick to that, and that’s the number one thing for me.”

The couple first met on the set of Spears’ Slumber Party music video in 2016, got engaged in September 2021, and married the following June.

They separated in August 2023, and their divorce was finalized in May 2024.

Asghari spoke warmly of Spears in the interview, emphasizing that what matters is the bond they shared behind closed doors.

“The best thing you can do is celebrate the past, appreciate the past, and not dwell on the fact that it’s over,” he said. “Be happy it ever even happened.”

Though he is currently dating Brooke Irvine, Asghari continues to support Spears from afar.

After Spears called their marriage “a fake distraction” in an August 2025 Instagram post, Asghari issued a statement through his rep, “Our marriage was very real to me. It may have been short, but we were together for seven years. I was in love with her, will always have love for her, and wish her the best always.”

He also reflected on the impact of their high-profile relationship on his career.

“When you’re in such a public relationship … it sort of gave me that platform for who I am,” Asghari explained, while noting it also meant he had to “work harder to prove myself.”

Even after their split, Asghari’s words show he values the connection he shared with Spears and remains grateful for their time together.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has warned the public about a fraudulent advertisement circulating under the name “Khuddam al-Hujjaj” in newspapers and on social media, offering Hajj and Umrah service jobs in Saudi Arabia.

The advertisement, which offered Hajj and Umrah service jobs in Makkah and Madinah, published in a local newspaper on December 8, “is from a fake company” with an incorrect registration number from the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), the ministry’s spokesperson said in an X post.

The ministry shared a copy of a fake advertisement by a firm called “Khadmeen Hajj” on X, which falsely claimed to offer service jobs assisting Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah for two years, along with free visas, return tickets and accommodation.

The ministry advised citizens always to verify all company registration details on official government websites, avoid contacting mobile numbers listed in such ads, and use only official landline numbers for correspondence.

It also asked citizens to contact law enforcement authorities in case of any complaints related to these scams, while confirming that action was being taken against those responsible for publishing the fraudulent advertisement.
