Michelle Williams forgets early role in iconic show: ‘I don’t remember much’

Michelle Williams fails to recall early role in well known show

Five-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams has forgotten some of her earliest work.

Williams, who’s currently nominated for two Emmys as lead actress and producer for Dying for Sex, appeared on Entertainment Weekly’s The Awardist podcast and talked about the show.

During the interview, she was asked about her role in season four of Baywatch in 1989. At the time, the actress was around 13-years-old and played a character named Bridget Bowers, who had a crush on Jeremy Jackson’s character Hobie. She later appeared in an episode and was listed as “Hobie’s Groupie.”

When asked if the two characters were the same person, she couldn’t answer.

“Whoa… I mean…,” Williams replied.

Chuckling, she continued, “I don’t know who is equipped to answer that question. Not me. That might be some stuff for the chat.”

The Fablemans star couldn’t recall much from her appearance on the show.

“I don’t remember much,” she admitted. “I just remember the bikini hanging in my trailer.”

She was then asked if she felt nervous around “a Baywatch bikini,” and the Shutter Island star said, “I mean…I don’t…think I was 12.”

“I didn’t know what thoughts to think. It was all kind of experience and very little processing,” Michelle Williams explained.

Woody Allen reveals famous personality he wants to work with

Woody Allen wants to direct US president in film

Woody Allen is a director many are familiar with, but there is someone he says he would like to work with again.

That’s the US President Donald Trump. The filmmaker directed him in the 1998 film Celebrity.

In his words, the former reality star is easy to direct, as he explains while appearing on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast.

“He was very polite and hit his mark and did everything correctly and had a real flair for show business,” the director shares.

His comments follow the host’s question about whether cancel culture has led him to support the current president. Woody previously faced the cancellation after he was accused of sexual abuse.

But the filmmaker denies this, saying, “I only wish I could direct him now. If he would let me direct him now that he’s president, I think I could do wonders,” adding, “But he was very easy to work with.”

To drive his point home, the veteran director even shares his political inclination, “I’m a Democrat. I voted for Kamala Harris. I take issue with him on 95% of things, maybe 99%.”

However, Woody in the end says, “But as an actor, he was very good. He was very convincing, and he had a charismatic quality as an actor. I’m surprised he wanted to go into politics.”

Naomi Osaka of Japan (L) and Coco Gauff of the United States embrace following their Women´s Singles Fourth Round match on Day Nine of the 2025 US Open at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on September 1, 2025 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. — AFP

NEW YORK: Naomi Osaka produced a commanding performance to knock out third seed Coco Gauff 6-3 6-2 in a highly anticipated fourth round showdown between two former US Open champions on Monday.

Four-time Grand Slam champion Osaka showed flashes of her old brilliance as she took control of the match from the start, while the 2023 champion Gauff struggled with her forehand and serve.

The result carried Osaka into the Flushing Meadows quarter-finals for the first time in five years and she will next play either Czech 11th seed Karolina Muchova or 27th seed Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine.

Monday’s showdown marked the first time that the two fan favourites had met in New York since their memorable 2019 clash, when the then 15-year-old Gauff lost to Osaka.

Princess Diana’s brother shares tribute as fans pour out love on anniversary

Earl Spencer honours Diana while fans flood social media with heartfelt messages

Earl Charles Spencer quietly marked the anniversary of Princess Diana’s death as he dropped a heartfelt tribute for his late sister on Instagram.

Under his emotional post featuring “beautiful flowers, left yesterday by Althorp’s visitors,” fans and followers of the former Princess of Wales also shared heartfelt memories and tributes.

Many commenters praised Diana as “the people’s princess” and expressed how deeply she is still missed.

“Beautiful flowers, left yesterday by Althorp’s visitors,” he penned. “We are open for July and August each year, by an arrangement reached with the UK Government in 1992.”

“Strange to think that that summer season is bookended by 1 July – Diana’s birthday – and 31 August – the day she died,” he added.

“My deepest thanks go to the @althorphouse team, who were truly outstanding again this summer – treating visitors as honoured guests of my family. Sarah P led them with quiet charm and an excellent natural feel for what matters.

One fan wrote, “She will live in our hearts forever.”

Another added, “Diana will never be forgotten. She really was the people’s princess. I cannot imagine how hard this day is for you and her beloved boys.”

Previously, while speaking on Good Morning Britain last year, Charles talked of coping with Diana’s tragic death.

“I’m sure pretty much everyone watching this program has had trauma in their family at some point,” he said. “And, like everyone else, you sort of get used to it without it ever going away.”
