Charlize Theron falls victim to car theft

Charlize Theron’s car was stolen from her Los Angeles home as she becomes the latest celebrity to become a victim of the crime spree going on.
Sources with the LAPD told NBC4 Investigates that the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday when an individual made their way into the Oscar winner’s property through an open gate.
The suspect proceeded to steal a BMW and at the time with the key fob being inside the vehicle but the LAPD were able to track down the actress’s car as they searched for the suspect involved in theft.
Charlize is the latest celebrity who has fallen victim to a crime in Los Angeles – with Tracee Ellis Ross, Brad Pitt and Lionel Richie along with others being victims as well.
Just a week before this unfortunate incident occurred at the Atomic Blonde talent’s L.A home, she had enjoyed a rare outing to Disneyland with her eldest child, Jackson.
Charlize was also accompanied by a group of Jackson’s close friends as all of them had the time of their lives at the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
The group were seen enjoying different tasty snacks inside of the amusement park before going on to have fun on a number of rides there.
It is pertinent to mention that Charlize Theron adopted Jackson back in 2012 and another child named August, in 2015.

Nicole Kidman shares major ‘Practical Magic 2’ update

Nicole Kidman has confirmed that filming has wrapped on Practical Magic 2, sharing a behind-the-scenes video with co-star Sandra Bullock over the weekend.
The pair, who first starred together in the 1998 adaptation of Alice Hoffman’s novel, will reprise their roles as witch sisters Gillian and Sally Owens in the long-awaited sequel.
In the clip posted to Instagram, Kidman and Bullock are seen laughing and skipping through a field at sunset, set to Stevie Nicks’ re-recorded version of Crystal, a track featured in the original film’s soundtrack.
Kidman captioned the post as, “That’s a wrap on Practical Magic 2! Thank you to the cast & crew for all your magic.”
Moreover, the new film, set for release on September 18, 2026, will see the return of Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing as Aunt Jet and Aunt Frances, alongside newcomers Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod.
However, one original cast member will not be returning.
Evan Rachel Wood, who played Sally’s daughter Kylie in the first film, revealed she was not asked to reprise her role despite offering to participate.
Plot details remain under wraps, though reports suggest the story will draw from a later installment in Hoffman’s Practical Magic book series. Director Susanne Bier will helm the project.
Reflecting on the sequel earlier this year, Kidman said she and Bullock had long hoped to continue the story, “When we were making it [the original], we definitely did. We’re so excited. Yes, yes, beyond excited. You heard our spell—we put out our spell already.”

Prince William leaves King Charles ‘irritated’ after annoying Princess Anne

Prince William has reportedly left his father King Charles ‘irritated’ after the Prince of Wales frustrated Princess Anne over workload.
The reports, citing royal insiders, recently claimed that the Princess Royal is ‘annoyed’ with Prince William.
Princess Anne maintains strong relationship with King Charles, however, the insider close to her has noted her frustration with Prince William’s workload, particularly regarding investitures at Windsor Castle.
Now, Radar Online, citing royal expert Tina Brown also alleged King Charles feels William’s carefully cultivated image as a doting father, while genuine, is a ‘tacit criticism’ of his own past shortcomings as a parent.
Brown claims: “The king is, I am told, currently less irritated with the prodigal Harry than he is with his elder son and heir.
“Somehow, William’s parenting dedication always seems couched as a tacit criticism of the king’s own paternal deficiencies.”
She went on saying: “And after five confirmed family vacations in the past seven months, William’s first-week-back diary pulsated with two outings: a father-daughter excursion to a Women’s Rugby World Cup pool match and a stroll through the Natural History Museum’s new gardens.
“Charles, despite his battle with cancer, has carried out official engagements on 175 days during the past 12 months.”

DPM Dar, Rubio discuss global developments, reaffirm resolve to boost Pak-US ties

- DPM Dar receives phone call from US Sec of State Marco Rubio: FO.
- Leaders expressed satisfaction over trajectory of Pakistan-US ties.
- Recent regional and international developments also discussed.
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio have reaffirmed their resolve to bolster Pakistan-US ties and strengthen bilateral relations across multifaceted areas of cooperation.
Secretary of State Rubio, as per the Foreign Office, held a call with DPM Dar wherein the two leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-US ties and discussed recent regional and international developments.
The development comes against the backdrop of improving diplomatic relations between Islamabad and Washington — especially following the armed conflict between Pakistan and India in May, which ended after President Donald Trump brokered a ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
DPM Dar, back in July, had met Rubio, where the latter praised Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terror.
The meeting was held at the delegation level, with senior officials from both sides in attendance. The two sides discussed a broad range of issues, including bilateral ties, prospects for enhanced cooperation in trade, economy, investment, counter-terrorism, and regional peace.
Soon after the meeting, the two countries announced reaching a trade agreement, which aimed at boosting bilateral trade, improving market access, attracting investment, and strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Under the agreement, there will be a reduction in tariffs, particularly on Pakistani exports to the US, and a fresh start in economic cooperation between the two countries, which also includes developing oil reserves.
Earlier this month, Pakistan secured around $500 million investment from the US in its critical minerals sector under a newly signed agreement with United States Strategic Metals (USSM).
The agreements cover cooperation in the development and processing of critical minerals, including rare earth elements (REEs), as well as logistics services.
The Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), Pakistan’s largest miner of critical minerals, inked a landmark MoU with USSM, a leading US-based processor, recycler and miner.
The deal establishes a framework for collaboration across a range of strategic minerals essential for the defence, aerospace, and technology industries.
The cooperation aims to unlock new opportunities in sustainable growth, technology transfer, and job creation, while prioritising environmental responsibility.

Separately, the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) signed an MoU with Mota-Engil Group to explore long-term partnerships in engineering and construction.
The improving economic, trade and diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Washington are also to be taken in the context of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir’s multiple high-level visits to the US — including a rare one-on-one meeting with President Trump in June.
The COAS recently visited the US in August for the retirement ceremony of outgoing Commander United States Central Command (Centcom), General Michael E Kurilla, and the Change of Command Ceremony marking the assumption of command by Admiral Brad Cooper.
During the visit, the army chief met Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine.
