Aimee Lou Wood on fans accepting her major trait
Aimee Lou Wood has kept it no secret that she has quirks. But what she praises is that her fans accept her as who she is.
“I think of those people who thank me for being weird because it means they can embrace their weirdness,” The White Lotus star adds in an interview with the Radio Times.
When any negative thoughts cross her mind, the actress says she remains mindful. “It gives me confidence on the days where sometimes that little demon comes back up.”
Meanwhile, it’s no secret that Aimee, as a teen, battled social anxiety, obsessive thoughts, ADHD, body dysmorphia, and bulimia.
“I get it so bad after social situations: obsessive, repetitive thoughts of, ‘Did I really say that? That was weird.’”
In a separate interview, Aimee looks back at growing up with the conditions her peers did not have.
“Growing up, I felt a deep need to be ‘normal,’ but then I realised all my favourite people… were weird — even my favourite characters, like Jane Eyre,” the star refers to the character in Charlotte Brontë’s novel.
In the end, Aimee explains her self-acceptance of her diagnosis by thinking of it as a “superpower.”
“Beauty is internal and I’m my own human-shaped self, and that’s OK. I don’t need to fit into any box,” she concludes.

Kourtney Kardashian interrupts Kim’s terrifying tale, blames ‘mom brain’
Kourtney Kardashian is putting blame on her “mom brain” after she zoned out during a conversation with sister Kim Kardashian.
In this week’s episode of The Kardashians, the 46-year-old American media personality and socialite hosted her one-year-younger sister Kim at her house to discuss some home renovation ideas.
While they were bouncing ideas off each other, the 45-year-old American media personality, socialite, and businesswoman admitted that she was worried following an assassination attempt.
“Especially with last week with the hit out thing,” Kim starts opening up about the stress she is enduring. “I never heard about that,” Kourtney replied.
“What!” the SKIMS founder exclaimed. “There’s a hit out on you?” the Lemme co-founder asked.
Kim explained, “I had to change all my cars cause I couldn’t drive and I didn’t want my kids to think anything was weird. So, we all were like, we think it’s a scam.”
“But for a good 48 hours…” she clarified. “We’re pretty sure that this person [in jail] just wanted a good standing with me from behind bars. Or maybe it was a conversation that was had. Like, ‘What would this cost?’ or ‘How do we do this?’ We have no idea.”
Kourtney jumped in with an off-topic comment as she asked Kim, “Wait have you ever had a date with butter inside and sea salt? It’s a really good snack.”
“No. But thanks for really supporting this deep conversation,” Kim replied.
In a confessional, the mother of three children shed light on what she was thinking when she cut Kim during her secret confession of stress with a snack recommendation.
Kourtney elaborated, “Because I get so bored talking about everyone and their stuff. I just don’t want to be rude, but I think it’s when you’re like a new mom and you have a younger baby. I just feel like I don’t relate to any of you and I just want to go home.”
“I think it’s an instinctual thing, like how they say you get mom brain. Your body’s made to just focus on your baby. That’s just what it is. I’m breastfeeding, so I care about a buttered date. Like eating a date with butter and salt on it. That’s what I care about,” she said.
It is pertinent to mention that Kourtney Kardashian shares her three kids, Mason, Penelope and Reign, with ex-partner Scott Disick.

Lily Allen shares details on creation of new album after split: “It said everything that I needed to say”
As an artist, Lily Allen stands firm by her belief that heartbreak can be a gift. After all, it helped lead to her latest album, “West End Girl.”
“You know, while I was writing it, I wasn’t really sure that it was going to see the light of day,” Allen told CBS News special correspondent Anthony Mason in an interview for “CBS Mornings” that aired Thursday, describing the music as “an act of desperation.” The studio album, released in late October, was written during the breakup of her nearly 4-year marriage to “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour.
The theme of what’s been described as Allen’s epic “breakup album” centers around tales of a deceptive partner, which the singer says is based partly on truth and partly on fantasy.
Harbour has not directly addressed his breakup with Allen or commented on her “West End Girl” album. But in an interview with Esquire UK, published around the album’s release, Harbour discussed the importance of accepting your mistakes. “I’d change everything or nothing. If you accept your past, you accept it completely, even the pain, the mistakes… It’s all part of the journey, the growth, the wisdom, the empathy, and the connection, and if you change one thing, you change everything,” he told the magazine at the time, adding that his work is about being honest.
New album says “everything that I needed to say”
But Allen said it was a “nightmare” holding onto the album and stunted her healing process. She felt a sense of relief and peace when she finally was able to share her words with the world.
“Since I’ve put it out, it’s felt completely and utterly liberating. It was kind of hellish having it in the background,” Allen said. “I don’t know. I just feel like I couldn’t – it said everything that I needed to say. And I felt like I couldn’t really like get on with my life until I’d said it.”
Her newly released music quickly lit up social media, with fans reacting to it on TikTok.
Allen wrote most of the record within the span of 10 days at the end of last year. She was excited to complete the album, but at the same time her personal life was falling into pieces.
After spending Christmas with her two daughters whom she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper, Allen decided to check herself into a treatment facility.
“I knew the things I was feeling were too intense,” Allen explained her decision to seek professional help at the time following her separation. As a recovering alcoholic, Allen said she’s not afraid of working on herself and knew she needed some quiet time.
A cathartic release
The Brooklyn townhouse that Allen and Harbour gave Architectural Digest a tour of in 2023 is now listed for around $8 million. The pair bought the home in early 2021 shortly after they got married.
Allen said her music was cathartic – for herself and her children.
“All of the pain that, you know, that I’ve been through in the past year, they’ve been through too,” Allen said. ” But you know, one thing that I wanted to do was to show my kids that, you know, you can use that pain and harness it and turn it into something else. And I think I’ve done that.”
Now, Allen is preparing for her 2026 tour – her first since she got sober in 2019.
The singer said she’s planning her touring schedule around her girls’ holidays so they’ll be able to come and bring their friends.
“I can’t wait to have them there. It’s like, it’s gonna be… It’s as much for them as it is for me,” Allen said, adding that she feels like she’s living her best life after a year of healing.

Key upgrader ablaze for second time in weeks
A massive explosion and blaze hit the Petrocedeño crude upgrader in eastern Venezuela on Wednesday, November 19, marking the second major incident at the critical facility this month and underscoring the perilous state of the country’s oil infrastructure.
The incident occurred in the afternoon at the José Antonio Anzoátegui Petrochemical Complex, located in the heart of Venezuela’s Orinoco Belt.
As per sources cited by Reuters and local media, the explosion ignited near the facility’s distillation tower.
The fire was reported to have potentially spread to a nearby naphtha plant, raising concerns of a cascading emergency.
Responding to the situation, the emergency teams from state oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), which operates the project, swiftly started a large-scale evacuation of personnel from the site.
Ambulances were seen rushing to the complex, though officials have not yet confirmed any injuries or fatalities.
PDVSA crews managed to contain the blaze by late evening.
The incident strikes at a core component of Venezuela’s petroleum dependent economy.
Crude upgraders such as Petrocedeño are crucial for converting the country’s vast reserves of extra-heavy crude into exportable grades.
The repeated blazes at such a key facility signifies the severe vulnerabilities caused by years of underinvestment, insufficient maintenance, and the crippling effect of international sanctions.
This is the second fire to hit the Petrocedeño upgrader in June alone, highlighting a major ongoing operational and safety challenges plaguing PDVSA as it struggles to revive its oil industry.
