UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan supports every international effort to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi told the UN Security Council on Tuesday.

“The conflict has dragged on for more than three and a half years and has taken a heavy toll on innocent lives,” Fatemi said. “No dispute can be settled by the use of force.”

He explained that Pakistan has backed Security Council resolutions on the war and will continue to do so.

“The fighting has already created a serious humanitarian crisis,” he warned. “It is also fuelling food and energy shortages and pushing up global inflation.”

Fatemi appealed to both Moscow and Kyiv to “show patience and tolerance” and to look for a negotiated way forward. “Pakistan stands ready to support any genuine move that can bring this conflict to an end,” he added.

The UN Secretary-General told the Security Council it’s important not to lose the “fragile diplomatic momentum” between Ukraine and Russia – and international mediators – over ending the war. 

He was briefing ambassadors in back-to-back meetings where calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, he said the “day after” war ends there, must be anchored in international law, rejecting any “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has said that he believed Ukraine could retake all its land occupied by Russia and that Kyiv should act now, with Moscow facing “big” economic problems, in a sudden and striking rhetorical shift in Ukraine’s favour.

Prince Harry has reportedly tried to mend his relationship with his father, King Charles, by offering an “apology.”

During the monarch and Harry’s recent private meeting in London earlier in September, the Duke of Sussex had made apologies for his and wife Meghan Markle’s hurtful behavior and it was an attempt to heal the years-long tension.

“This was the first occasion in a long time that Harry actually offered an apology,” a source close to the private chat told Radaroline.com.

“He acknowledged that some of his and Meghan’s public remarks had been hurtful. Whether Charles accepted it is unclear, but the exchange was certainly emotional.”

A second insider told the outlet that Meghan also joined the meeting via call marking their first chat in two years. Though they talked for a few minutes, the intention was to mend the broken bonds.

“The call was brief, but it carried weight,” a second source said. “Meghan told the King she wanted to see relationships repaired. Harry was eager to show them both that the family bond is still there and that it could be rebuilt, particularly for the children’s sake. He’s determined to make it feel like one united family again.”

“Meghan’s call was more symbolic than substantial – no one believes a brief greeting can undo years of tension,” another senior insider told the publisher.

“Charles might be inclined to forgive, but it’s William Harry has to win over, and he isn’t shifting. And Camilla? She hasn’t forgotten the insults and has no interest in engaging.”

They added, “the level of vitriol after Kim’s tweet was staggering. Death threats were pouring in, her reputation was shredded overnight, and she felt there was no way to fight back.”

Meanwhile, a fan interviewed for the documentary shared, “She could have saved a million babies and solved world hunger, and it wouldn’t have mattered.”

Adding, “Once that snake narrative stuck, she was powerless. To have something of that magnitude go completely off the rails – there was no stopping it, no matter what she did.”

For those unaware, the feud between Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian stemmed from the Blank Space singer’s tensions with the reality tv star’s then husband, Kanye West, who famously stormed the stage at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

However, Kardashain reignited the animosity with her tweet on “National Snake Day,” posting snake emojis that cemented Swift’s “snake” label across social media.
