Grammy host Trevor Noah receives stern response from Trump after Epstein dig

Trevor Noah hosted the Grammys for a record sixth time after the show’s producer, Ben Winston, revealed ahead of the ceremony that he begged the comedian for his services.

“It got to December, and we hadn’t found anybody that we absolutely loved. I sent him a video, and I was literally, I was on my knees in this video, and I said, ‘Please look at this incredible lineup that we’ve got on the show — the only thing that’s missing is you,’” the producing executive admitted. “‘Come back and do one final year, it’s the last year on CBS, let’s make it your last year too.’”

While Noah generously accepted the offer, the ceremony ended up on Donald Trump’s radar due to the very hosting stint which Winston went all out for.

The American president denounced the Epstein joke which the Grammys host made at his expense and threatened legal action.

“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer,” the head of state shared via his Truth Social profile.

Taking a dig at Noah, Trump continued, “The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards.”

“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”

For the record, Noah initiated his joke about Trump as he congratulated Billie Eilish for winning song of the year.

“There you have it, song of the year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. That’s a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” he said. “Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you, it’s my last year! What are you going to do about it?”

Trump further listed George Stephanopoulos, host and former White House Communications Director, as someone he has successfully sued. While he told Trevor Noah to “get ready” because he plans to “have some fun” with him.

KARACHI: The port city is likely to stay dry over the next 24 hours, but rain with thunder and lightning may return to the city’s outskirts on the first day of Eid ul Fitr as a westerly system affects most parts of the country.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the sky is expected to remain clear in Karachi, with sunshine during the day and dry weather.

The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature recorded at night was 18 degrees Celsius. Humidity stood at 86%, and winds in the city were calm.

The weather remained cool in Karachi at night after two days of rain in the city, the Met Office said. It added that rain is also likely in other parts of Sindh on the first day of Eid, including Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Hyderabad and along the province’s coastal belt. There is also a risk of lightning strikes during the rain.

The department said the sky is likely to remain cloudy in Karachi on the second and third days of Eid. It added that another spell of westerly winds may affect the country between March 24 and 27, with chances of rain in Karachi and elsewhere in Sindh during that period as well.

In Punjab, rain is likely on Friday (today) in most districts, the Meteorological Department said.

Rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Narowal, while Jhelum, Hafizabad, Lahore and Dera Ghazi Khan may also receive rain. There is also a possibility of hail at some places in the province.

The Met Office said 8mm of rain was recorded in Lahore on Thursday. The city’s maximum temperature is likely to remain 23°C.

There may be drizzle in Lahore on Chand Raat, while the weather is likely to remain dry on the first day of Eid, the department said.

On the second day of Eid, the sky is likely to remain cloudy and there is a possibility of rain.

Prince William’s mission meets a ‘lovely’ day in Bournemouth

Prince William’s mission meets a ‘lovely’ day in Bournemouth

Prince William’s routine royal visit turned into a feel-good moment on the south coast.

The 43-year-old royal headed to Bournemouth to spotlight the work of Homewards.

A campaign he launched in 2023 through The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales with an ambitious goal to stop homelessness before it ever starts.

After the visit, William took to Instagram on Thursday to reflect on the day, praising how Homewards is tackling youth homelessness in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.

He highlighted the project’s early-intervention approach and its growing international interest.

The future king shared that delegations from countries like Australia, Canada, and Finland are now looking at the model as a blueprint.

During his stop, the Prince met local partners shaping Bournemouth’s “Local Action Plan”one of six flagship areas across Great Britain working toward long-term solutions.

He also visited The Bourne Academy, where educators and frontline groups are teaming up to support vulnerable young people before they reach crisis point.

The royal outing had a cheeky side when three young well-wishers Lily, her brother William, and their cousin Eva called out to him with a bouquet in hand.

William thanked them, joking about the unexpected gift.

Asked to rate Bournemouth out of 10, he replied it’s “lovely,” especially when the sun shows up.

He kept a promise to Lily by stopping for a selfie on his way back, wrapping up the visit on a warm, personal note.

Prince William and Kate wow with last-minute surprise portrait drop

Prince William and Kates new portrait pleasantly surprised fans after their recent break from the tradition.

Captured by rising British-Nigerian photographer Christianah Ebenezer ahead of the Nigerian State Banquet at Windsor, the image shows the couple side by side.

Catherine delivered a standout fashion moment in a flowing green gown by Andrew Gn, a subtle tribute to Nigeria’s national colours.

The look was elevated with the iconic Lover’s Knot Tiara her first tiara appearance of the year alongside heirloom earrings once worn by Queen Elizabeth II.

Completing the regal outfit were the Royal Family Order of King Charles and the GCVO sash and star.

William matched the occasion in full white tie and a Windsor tailcoat, presenting a picture-perfect royal pairing ahead of the high-profile evening.

For Ebenezer, the moment marked a major milestone. Born in Lagos and raised in London, the photographer described the experience as a “true honour.”

While it was her first time photographing the Prince and Princess of Wales, she was no stranger to royal circles.

She previously shot 60th birthday portraits for Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and gaining recognition from figures like Lady Amelia Windsor.

The portrait drop came amid a busy schedule surrounding the State Visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who arrived in the UK on March 18.
