Grammy winner Laufey spills secret to award-winning songs

Laufey just insisted she is more than a Jazz icon.
The Grammy Award-winning singer, who released her third album, A Matter of Time, and is often labelled as a “Gen Z jazz icon,” prefers not to stay confined to one genre.
She told Vogue.co.uk: “My music is a derivative of Jazz. I am a Jazz singer and I love Jazz music, but I wouldn’t say I’m the face of current Jazz.”
“My music is a mishmash of Jazz and classical and bossanova and pop. I don’t know what it is. I don’t like putting myself in a box, even if it is a Jazz box. And there’s so many amazing artists – like Samara Joy – who are really incredible and actually meaning the thing,” the From The Start hitmaker added.
Additionally, Laufey mentioned that she has never “believed in myself more than I do now” and is proud that she creates art true to herself.
“Everyone tells you as a kid, the things that make you weird are the things that are going to make you stand out,” she said, adding, “It is so cool how I’ve stuck to my guns and created a career out of it.”
“I’ve never believed in myself more than I do now, which is a really beautiful place to be when you’re working on your art,” the Lovesick talent stated.
Laufey worked on her album at the late Jimi Hendrix’s famed Electric Lady Studios in New York, and it proved critical in the shaping of her work.
“It almost changed the course of my album when I worked there,” she mentioned before concluding, “The music I was making there felt so honest to my artistry in a time where I was really wondering where to sail the ship.”

Jelly Roll wins big at the Christian music awards

Jelly Roll won three Dove Awards trophies at the Christian music awards, including Song of the Year for his Brandon Lake collaboration, Hard Fought Hallelujah.
The country artist has been vocal about his Christian faith in the past few years, and believes it saved him from self-destruction.
“The world is hearing about Jesus like they haven’t in decades right now,” he told the crowd during his acceptance speech.
He continued, “There is a revival happening in the United States of America, where you can’t go on a corner and not hear about Jesus right now.”
“I thank God that I could see the forest for the trees,” the Save Me hitmaker added.
Christian singer Forrest Frank won the Dove Awards’ highest honour, Artist of the Year, on the night, but wasn’t present at the ceremony.
Frank previously uploaded a video on his social media where he declared that he won’t be attending any award ceremonies including the Christian music awards because he does not want industry recognition for music that expresses his faith.
“I love that you said, ‘I don’t want to get a trophy for something that’s from Jesus for Jesus’, which is awesome,” Jelly noted on social media at that time, “But also make millions of dollars doing that same thing that is from Jesus for Jesus.”
“Maybe I’m missing something here lol,” Jelly Roll concluded.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle awkward moment caught on camera

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shocked the media with their unusual argument on camera.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who attended the Project Healthy Minds gala in New York earlier this week, were seen in a swift exchange of words on the red carpet.
Meghan, who was given ‘Humanitarians of the Year’ award with Prince Harry, was spotted telling the husband to remove his hand from her back.
This comes moments before Meghan told the audience: “Our children, Archie and Lili, are just six and four years old. Luckily still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming.”
“Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits, while safeguarding against its dangers. That hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”
Harry also added: “This is a pivotal moment in our collective mission to protect children and support families in a digital age.”

Duchess of Edinburgh plays the hero amid family ‘soap opera’ involving senior royals, Harry, Meghan

Sophie has risen to the occasion amid Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s the ongoing conflict with senior royal members.
Sean Smith, who is an author of Sophie: Saving the Royal Family, which came out in July of this year, opened up about the Duchess of Edinburgh’s professional integrity and work commitment in a talk with GB News.
Mr Smith said that most of the prominent members of the monarchy are embroiled in a feud with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that has undermined the focus on meaningful work but a strong sense of responsibility in Sophie is not letting her deviate from what truly matters amid serious tensions in the Royal Family.
The author of Meghan Misunderstood said, “The media has been and continues to be obsessed with the family drama involving Harry, Meghan, William, Kate and Charles. It’s a soap opera.”
“(Meanwhile) Sophie (has been) comforting women and children refugees,” he noted.
For those unaware, the Duchess of Edinburgh has been putting in efforts to eradicate se*ual abuse against women in war zones for over ten years.
In 2019, she visited Kosovo and South Sudan to promote justice for victims as the Countess of Wessex before becoming the Duchess of Edinburgh in 2023 to promote justice for victims.
In April 2024, Sophie became the first member of the Royal Family who travelled to Ukraine, where she met President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska and made efforts to end wartime se*xual violence.
