King Charles sends new orders to ‘shield’ Andrew after Anne’s intervention
- Andrew’s new home repairs sped up as ex-prince to move in
- Police probe continues after humiliating arrest at Sandringham
- King Charles new actions inspired by Princess Anne gesture for Andrew?
King Charles has implemented new measures in place for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who will be shifting in his new home, as new revelations come to light about his siblings.
The disgraced former Prince had been evicted from his Windsor home, Royal Lodge, especially after he had made ‘arrogant’ public appearance horse-riding soon after the release of the Epstein files.
As the senior royals have cut ties with Andrew, refraining seeing next to him in public, Princess Anne seemed to have quietly expressed her concerns for her brother Andrew in private.
The Princess Royal has reportedly been in contact with Andrew, seemingly checking up on him, while Charles has also taken initiative to ‘shield’ him.
As Andrew is set to move into his new home, Marsh Farm, next month, massive wooden gates have been installed for “shielding it from public view”, per The Sun report.
The large gates were put up after the work of flooring, carpeting was done. Now furniture is expected to be delivered, as workers are working round the clock to wind up the work at the property.
It is unclear if Charles’s actions have been driven by his sister Princess Anne, who is one of the handful of people able to challenge her brother. Although, the Princess Royal very much supports the King and the decision he has taken for the sake of the monarchy.
The royals have been accused of ‘protecting’ Andrew in the past despite the magnitude of allegations against him. It is a possibility that to keep press away from Andrew furore, the gates were installed.
Despite move, Charles has vowed to support the police investigation that is looking into the many accusations that have come to light in the Epstein files.

Princess Anne takes surprising step for Andrew with Mike Tindall support
- Anne’s ‘wildly unpredictable’ move contradicts King Charles orders
- Mike Tindall supports mother-in-law as royals step back
- Andrew’s arrest leaves Anne is major dilemma, King’s sister takes action
Princess Anne, known for her stoic and no-nonsense approach to matters especially related to the monarchy, seemed to have taken a “wildly unpredictable” step in the wake of the Andrew-Epstein scandal.
In a shocking turn of events, as all royal members distance themselves from the shamed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Anne had been privately contacting her middle brother, with the support of her son-in-law, Mike Tindall.
The Princess Royal held her firm stance earlier this week as the royals gathered at the Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day service, and ignored the anti-monarchy protestors swarming the vicinity.
King Charles’s sister is of the view that private matters, relating to the members of the royal family should remain out of the public’s reach, a policy that Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip adhered to.
However, it became increasingly difficult for the royals to remain oblivious when humiliating photos and emails were exposed in the Epstein files. Anne wad forced to admit that it was now becoming “harder” for the royals to defend Andrew, according to royal expert Richard Kay.

King Charles has made it clear that Andrew is ousted from the royal fold, stripped from his titles and honours, and other members are also advised to keep their distance from the York, especially the Britons’ strong feelings towards the ex-prince.
Although, it does seem like a slight act of defiance if Anne has remained in contact.
“Shaken by his arrest, I understand she has continued to be in contact with him,” the royal expert said. “Despite that familiar gruff and just-get-on-with-it approach she inherited from Prince Philip, Anne has been concerned about Andrew’s mental welfare as his world has imploded.”
He continued, “Intriguingly, this has been encouraged by her son in law, former rugby player Mike Tindall, who may have more real-world experience than any other royal.”
Insiders insist that the Princess Royal understands the “risk of reputational damage to the institution would be considerable” if the royals kept ties with Andrew. Moreover, she supports King Charles’s decision and remains “devoted” to the monarch.

Prince William, Princess Kate irk Princess Anne over new change
- Anne adheres to Queen Elizabeth’s approach as royals ditch tradition
- King’s sister disproves new change as William grows in influence
- Anne would ‘rather not be a lone outlier’ in amid key transition
Prince William and Princess Kate have planning big changes for the monarchy as the Palace has already begun setting the groundwork for the new King and Queen.
There is no suggestion from the royals nor the Palace that King Charles, despite his ongoing cancer treatment, has an intention to abdicate, but the monarch has been entrusting more duties to his heir.
Princess Anne’s had a solid reputation as a hardest working member of the royal family and she is “fiercely loyal to the monarchy”. And while she is devoted to her brother Charles, she is also one of the very few who can challenge him and “not be ignored”, according to royal expert Richard Kay.
Hence, it comes as no surprise that she is not keen on the many changes that have been taking place as William grows in influence. She is irked by the fact that the royal family has “moved away from Queen Elizabeth’s approach” especially in light of the Epstein scandal.
The royal expert shared that as the royal members become more open in their statements, Anne “would rather not be a lone outlier in this regard and dislikes the way the family has moved away from Queen Elizabeth’s approach”.
He explained that Anne likes Kate very much but she is “not entirely comfortable with the way Catherine and William have opened their hearts at times of personal difficulty”.
Anne is old school and strictly adheres to “stoical and noble traditions” which is why it is a rather tough transition for her. Though, he still remains a key asset and unlikely to change her ways even if the monarchy takes new shape in William’s reign.
