The 27-year-old was fined for “throwing the ball with force at an opponent in an unsportsmanlike manner.”

The incident occurred in the fourth quarter, when Anunoby was going up for a fast break layup while surrounded by three Magic defenders. The ball was swatted out of his hands as he went to gather for the layup and humbled over.
Bane, who was trailing the play, picked up the loose ball and in one swift motion launched it at Anunoby, who was still on the ground. The Knicks forward took exception to being drilled with the ball, and got up and pushed Bane.

After the Knicks’ victory, Bane and Anunoby appeared to hash things out on the floor and hugged.
It is the second incident this season in which Bane has thrown a ball at an opponent. In the beginning of November, the forward had another incident on a fast break.
Bane was alone while trying to defend a fast break by Onyeka Okongwu with the Atlanta Hawks up 79-65 in the third quarter.

Okongwu went up for a layup, but Bane refused to give up the easy bucket, so he fouled him and pulled him to the ground. As Okongwu fell to the floor, the ball floated in the air and Bane swatted it down off Okongwu’s head like a volleyball player executing a spike.
After a replay review, Bane was ejected from the game after being assessed both a technical foul and a flagrant foul for his transgression.
The Magic’s next game is against the Miami Heat at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

NFL star, 44, joins Colts’ practice squad as team suffers drastic QB injuries: reports
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
Philip Rivers reportedly joined the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, nearly five years since he played his last snap in the NFL.
Rivers, who turned 44 years old this week and recently became a grandfather, will be on the team’s practice squad to begin the week, according to multiple reports. He last played in the NFL, for the Colts, during the 2020 season.

The Colts are dealing with a massive issue at quarterback with Daniel Jones out for the season with a torn Achilles, Anthony Richradson out with a fractured orbital bone and Riley Leonard dealing with a knee injury. Brett Rypien is also an option.
Rivers was a good candidate to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The eight-time Pro Bowler racked up 63,440 passing yards and 421 passing touchdowns during his 17-year career.
“It’s a no-brainer for who gives them the best chance,” a source close to Rivers told The Athletic.

Given Rivers’ age and that he’s been away from the NFL for a while, the Colts may have to rely on the legs and shoulders of star running back Jonathan Taylor. He’s leading the NFL with 1,356 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. He’s carried the ball 247 times this season.
Rivers was previously open to being the New Orleans Saints quarterback in 2021, and the San Francisco 49ers admitted he was their choice if they made it to Super Bowl LVII when Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson both suffered injuries during the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles. But he never took the opportunity.

PCB decides to hold PSL matches at AJK’s Muzaffarabad stadium – SUCH TV
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to host the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) Muzaffarabad cricket stadium.
The announcement was made by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during the PSL roadshow held at London’s Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Naqvi said that PCB has initiated steps to hold PSL fixtures at the Muzaffarabad stadium. He said the board is committed to preparing the venue to the highest standards.
“We are going to develop the Muzaffarabad cricket stadium in the best possible way,” he stated.
Naqvi added that Muzaffarabad already offers necessary facilities for international players, including high-quality five-star hotels.
He further noted that the initiative is not limited to PSL matches alone. “Along with PSL fixtures, other international matches will also be hosted in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
However, the PCB chairman did not specify how many PSL matches will be staged in Muzaffarabad.
The PSL, which began in 2016 with five franchises, is set for further expansion with the addition of two new teams from its upcoming 11th edition, set to be played next year.
With the upcoming additions, the PSL will undergo its first major restructuring in seven years, bringing the total number of franchises to eight.
