‘Now You See Me’ cast all hearts for Morgan Freeman
Now You See Me cast reportedly gushed about Morgan Freeman.
The movie’s cast could not contain their admiration for Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman at the film’s New York City premiere on November 10.
The Oscar-winning actor, 88, returns as Thaddeus Bradley for the third installment of the hit heist franchise, a role he has played since the series first launched in 2013.
Speaking to PEOPLE Magazine, several of Freeman’s co-stars admitted they were completely starstruck on set.
“The first day we met him, we were all, like, gawking around him, ranking his best movies,” shared Dominic Sessa with a laugh.
“I think we were all kind of fanning out when he was around — just so cool to be able to make a movie with a living legend.”

In addition to this, co-star Justice Smith echoed the sentiment, noting how meaningful it was to share the screen with the cinematic icon.
“He’s an icon. I have a lot of reverence for him as a young Black actor. Yeah, it definitely was surreal.””

Cleto Escobedo III, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” bandleader, dies at 59
Cleto Escobedo III, longtime bandleader of the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show, has died, Jimmy Kimmel announced on Tuesday. He was 59 years old.
The late-night talk show host mourned the death of one of his oldest friends — whom he met when he was 9 years old — writing on Instagram that “[t]o say that we are heartbroken is an understatement.”
“The fact that we got to work together every day is a dream neither of us could ever have imagined would come true. Cherish your friends and please keep Cleto’s wife, children and parents in your prayers,” Kimmel wrote.

Escobedo and Kimmel met as children in Las Vegas, where they grew up across the street from each other. Kimmel wrote on Tuesday that they were “inseparable.”
“We just met one day on the street, and there were a few kids on the street, and him and I just became really close friends, and we kind of had the same sense of humor. We just became pals, and we’ve been pals ever since,” Escobedo said in a 2022 interview for Texas Tech University’s Southwest Collection oral history archive, disclosing that he and Kimmel were huge fans of David Letterman as kids.
Escobedo would grow up to become a professional musician, specializing in the saxophone, and touring with Earth, Wind and Fire’s Phillip Bailey and Paula Abdul. He recorded with Marc Anthony, Tom Scott and Take Six. When Kimmel got his own ABC late-night talk show in 2003, he lobbied for Escobedo to lead the house band on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
“Of course I wanted great musicians, but I wanted somebody I had chemistry with,” Kimmel told WABC in 2015. “And there’s nobody in my life I have better chemistry with than him.”
In 2016, on Escobedo’s 50th birthday, Kimmel dedicated a segment to his friend, recalling pranks with a BB gun or mooning people from the back of his mom’s car.
“Cleto had a bicycle with a sidecar attached to it. We called it the side hack. I would get in the sidecar and then Cleto would drive me directly into garbage cans and bushes,” Kimmel recalled.
News of Escobedo’s death comes after Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was abruptly canceled. David Duchovny, Joe Keery and Madison Beer were set as the show’s guests. The date and cause of Escobedo’s death weren’t immediately known.
Escobedo’s father is also a member of the Kimmel house band and plays tenor and alto saxophones. In January 2022, the father-son duo celebrated nearly two decades of performing on-screen together.
“Jimmy asked me, ‘Who are we going to get in the band?’ I said, ‘Well, my normal guys,’ and he knew my guys because he had been coming to see us and stuff before he was famous, just to come support me and whatever. I’d invite him to gigs, and if he didn’t have anything to do he’d come check it out, so he knew my guys,” Escobedo recounted in the 2022 interview. “Then he just said, ‘Hey, man, what about your dad? Wouldn’t that be kind of cool?’ I was like, ‘That would be way cool.'”
In the 2022 interview, Escobedo said the bandleader job had one major benefit: family time.
“Touring and all that stuff is fun, but it’s more of a young man’s game. Touring, also, too, is not really conducive for family life. I’ve learned over the years, being on the road and watching how hard it is, leaving your kids for so long. Sometimes they’re babies; you come back and then they’re talking, it’s like, ‘What?'” he said.
Escobedo’s survivors also include his wife Lori and their two children.

Meghan Markle ‘lies’ questioned as she copies Kate Middleton
Meghan Markle is mocked for copying Kate Middleton with her projects.
The Duchess of Sussex, who has announced the release date for her upcoming Netflix Christmas special, is set to clash with Kate’s annual Christmas carol service.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Talk TV: “Are we going to talk about the fact that it directly conflicts with Catherine’s carol concert? She’s done this so it’s released basically the day before.”
She added: “The reason why I think that’s interesting, or the date specifically is interesting, is because she either didn’t know, she lied or plans changed.”
This comes as Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, writes a candid essay titled, “The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British.”
Speaking about his life in Britain, Harry pens: “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for. The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands – ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it.”
Noting that Harry dearly misses his brother in the US, body language expert Judi James noted: “Despite his normally constant adherence to his love of his life in the US, Harry sounds like a man still yearning for what he calls the ‘Banter of the mess, clubhouse, pubs, the stands.'”

Prince William ‘honored’ to join King Charles for emotional event at Windsor castle
Prince William joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle on Monday to honor World War II veterans on Armistice Day.
In the video shared by the official Instagram handle of the Prince and Princess of Wales, William appeared in high spirits as he warmly interacted with veterans who served in the Pacific.
The son of King Charles expressed his honor to be part of the evening in the caption that read, “Honoured to be at Windsor Castle this evening to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War in the Far East with Their Majesties.”
“It was deeply moving to meet veterans from across the UK and Commonwealth who served in the Pacific and Indian Ocean territories – a generation whose courage and sacrifice brought peace to millions, and whose legacy continues to inspire us today,” the caption read further.
It concluded with “Lest We Forget.”
The King and Queen hosted the reception, also joined by Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Duchess of Gloucester.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier in the day, the wife of Prince William, Kate Middleton led the nation in a poignant two-minute silence at the National Memorial Arboretum.
Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales shared a heartfelt message with schoolchildren across the UK, reminding them that “remembrance is for everyone.”
