Queen Elizabeth II is questioned over her blind spot for Andrew

The defamed former Prince, who has been accused of sexually abusing late Virginia Giuffre during her teens, was fiercely protected by his mother.

Church of England vicar, Stephen Kuhrt, asked whether Her Majesty had a blind spot for the son.

He wrote: “Three years on from the death of Queen Elizabeth II, much of the admiration for her strong sense of duty continues.

“Fairness demands, however, that Elizabeth II receive an equal scrutiny to others in positions of responsibility.

“Is it really credible that she was entirely ignorant of the activities and certainly the associations of the son to whom she was so close?

“If not, was her non-action on behalf of the vulnerable compatible with the role of someone so publicly pledged (‘whether my life be long or short’) to the service of her people?

“Should we accept the excuse that she had a blind-spot towards the ‘weaknesses’ of her supposed favourite child?” he noted.

“Heated Rivalry” Season 2 is coming “as soon as humanly possible,” says creator Jacob Tierney

A second season of “Heated Rivalry” is in the works, with shooting expected to begin in August.

“We are writing it now,” show creator and director Jacob Tierney said on “CBS Mornings” Thursday. “We’re getting ready to start shooting this summer. And there will be more ‘Heated Rivalry’ on your TVs as — like, truly — as soon as humanly possible.”

The next season is expected in 2027, but a release date has not been announced yet.

“Like the best parts of this show, just enjoy the yearn,” executive producer Brendan Brady said about the wait for the second season.

The romance on HBO Max about hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov begins with a secret fling between two rivals and eventually turns into a yearslong journey of love, denial and self-discovery. It is based on the “Game Changers” book series by Rachel Reid and has been so popular it has averaged more than 10.5 million viewers per episode in the U.S. alone, according to Warner Bros. Discovery.

Tierney believes it resonates because it is “very romantic.”

“It has the hallmarks and trappings of a real classic romance, years of longing and yearning and trying to get together and do the right thing for each other and not being able to, and then eventually a happy ending,” he said.

“It is laser-focused on that love story. There’s not a lot of diversion from it. And I think that’s what the audience responds to, is kind of the intensity and the focus of the storytelling,” he said.

Editor’s note: “Heated Rivalry” Season 2 will begin shooting in August, but no official release date has been announced.

Prince William finds his perfect wingman in Tom Cruise

The unexpected friendship between Prince William and Tom Cruise has quietly become one of the most intriguing crossovers between palace and Hollywood.

A Royal Seal of Approval

While attending the BAFTA Film Awards in 2026, William was asked to name his favorite movie.

He confessed he might be “slightly biased,” before praising Top Gun: Maverick as one of the most impressive films he’s seen in years.

Back at Adelaide Cottage, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are reportedly obsessed with the high-speed aerial scenes.

William has admitted family movie nights often lean toward daring stunts over art-house drama much to his children’s delight.

Private Screenings and Red Carpet Moments

The bond between the royal aviator and Hollywood’s most fearless stuntman dates back to 2022, when William and Catherine were invited to a private IMAX screening ahead of the film’s debut at the Cannes Film Festival.

Cruise personally arranged the preview after discovering William a trained RAF helicopter pilot was a longtime fan of the 1986 original.

Cameras caught them deep in conversation, with Cruise even offering a steadying hand to the Princess of Wales on the staircase.

Later, Cruise thanked the couple publicly, calling it a privilege to host them in the UK.

At a 2024 fundraising gala, the future king jokingly warned his “fellow pilot” not to borrow the charity’s helicopters for the next installment of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, teasing that Cruise’s idea of “wear and tear” might differ from everyone else’s.

Cruise has also lent star power to William’s environmental initiative, the The Earthshot Prize, appearing via surprise video message and referring to the Prince as his “dear friend.”

The actor has  said they “have a lot in common,” citing their shared love of aviation and England.
