Seth Meyers hits back at his big critic

Seth Meyers responds to criticism on recent show

Seth Meyers is known for his sharp jabs, so when the U.S. president called him out for previously joking about his idea for steam-powered catapults on the American aircraft carriers—he hit back.

“Look, in general, I try to live by the New Yorker’s creed. When someone is ranting and raving about you, ignore them. Chances are, they’re just going to move on and rant about something else,” says the host on his recent late-night show.

He continues, “But there is one thing that I simply have to address: You can say I’m untalented, you can say I’m deranged, but I’m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers. You’re the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!”

Earlier, Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, raged that Seth is “the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television,” describing him as “a truly deranged lunatic.”

Seth Meyers hits back at his big critic

It is worth noting that since the beginning of his second presidency, the U.S. president has locked horns with several late-night show hosts, who have a history of criticizing him, including Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon.

Prince Harry triggers fresh war with King Charles, Prince William

Prince Harry triggers fresh war with King Charles, Prince William

Prince Harry has yet again plunged his father from the frying pan, and straight into the fire, with his fresh new war of optics, allegedly.

Everything has been broken down by royal commentator and Daily Beast contributor Tom Skyes, on his substack ‘The Royalist’.

There he claims that while sources revealed earlier that regular phone calls have once again resumed between father and son, and many assumed that Harry would ‘avoid overshadowing’ major royal events like Rememberance Sunday slated for November 9th, or even Armistice Day on November 11th, “to make his own gesture,” Instead, “he has triggered a fresh optics war.”

According to Mr Skyes “His team denies any intent to overshadow William’s Rio showcase—featuring Kylie Minogue and attended by global political leaders—but blamed the late announcement on Harry’s lack of International Protected Person status and ongoing security disputes.”

But to the writer that explanation is “unlikely to convinced because when placed alongside someone like his older brother’s trip to Brazil, “a charity dinner in Toronto risks looking modest.”

For those unversed with this trip, the Duke has a lot lined up for Canada. From visiting the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre to attending events in support of veterans on Remembrance Day.

Furthermore, all this will follow a private lunch organized by the True Patriot Love Foundation, a group dedicated to supporting Canadian military members and their families.

Tom Hanks admits he faced ‘terrifying’ situation in his new play ‘This World of Tomorrow’

Tom Hanks says he forgot his lines in new play ‘This World of Tomorrow’

Tom Hanks recently got candid and opened up about forgetting his lines during his new Off-Broadway play, This World of Tomorrow.

On the Monday, November 3 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 69-year-old American actor and filmmaker appeared to promote his show, This World of Tomorrow, which he also co-wrote with James Glossman.

While talking about his Off-Broadway show, Hanks told the host that he forgot his lines during preview performances of the show.

He explained, “I disappeared the other night, as a matter of fact,” and joked that his costars in the play Kelli O’Hara and Ruben Santiago-Hudson “all just kind of look at me and go, ‘Come on, man. I learned my lines, haven’t you learned yours?’”

Colbert enquired him how the experience felt different as he penned the play, to which the two-time Oscar-winning actor replied, “Yes it is. No. 1 because, they are gonna have a real hard time firing me if I screw up.”

Hanks went on to state that co-writing the play with Glossman has been “a pleasure and a joy,” but it is also “as terrifying a situation I’ve ever had.”

“The huge difference between film and stage is, in film the director is the governor of the story. He can change it, not say it, don’t say that, say this instead. The stage, if it’s not on the page, it ain’t on the stage. The writers are the definitive arbiters of what is being said,” the Saving Private Ryan star explained.
