Jennifer Aniston recalls the moment she shot down ‘SNL’ stint
Jennifer Aniston has just dropped bombshells about the alternate life route she could have take had she not shot down an SNL cast member job.
The whole conversation happened during Aniston’s appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast by Dax Shepard.
Their chat ended up candid pretty fast when the actress took her trip down memory lane to her SNL cast member offer.
“I always thought I was such hot s***. The story of that is all very confusing,” she began by telling the host.
According to a report by People magazine she also admitted, “Honestly, today I’d have to ask Lorne, because I remember, I was in New York City, and I had a meeting with Lorne Michaels, and I ran into [Adam] Sandler and [David] Spade in the room right outside. And I knew Sandler forever.”
For those unversed, Aniston had been pals with Sandler even before Friends because “he was very good friends with Charlie Schlatter, who played Ferris Bueller in the television version of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. So we met at Jerry’s Deli in like 1912,” the outlet reports.
In terms of her reason for actual turning down the role she chalked it up to the male presence because it was a ‘male-dominated environment’ according to the star.
“I don’t know why I had this self-righteous attitude of ‘I don’t know if women are treated the way they should be treated on this show.’ It’s a very male-dominated [show,] I would love to be here if it was in the Gilda Radner day,” she also said.
“I mean, this is the brain that semi-remembers things that are back that far. Something like that. I can’t remember, but I just remember Friends then happened,” she concluded by saying too.

Prince William’s mission meets a ‘lovely’ day in Bournemouth
Prince William’s routine royal visit turned into a feel-good moment on the south coast.
The 43-year-old royal headed to Bournemouth to spotlight the work of Homewards.
A campaign he launched in 2023 through The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales with an ambitious goal to stop homelessness before it ever starts.
After the visit, William took to Instagram on Thursday to reflect on the day, praising how Homewards is tackling youth homelessness in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
He highlighted the project’s early-intervention approach and its growing international interest.
The future king shared that delegations from countries like Australia, Canada, and Finland are now looking at the model as a blueprint.
During his stop, the Prince met local partners shaping Bournemouth’s “Local Action Plan”one of six flagship areas across Great Britain working toward long-term solutions.
He also visited The Bourne Academy, where educators and frontline groups are teaming up to support vulnerable young people before they reach crisis point.
The royal outing had a cheeky side when three young well-wishers Lily, her brother William, and their cousin Eva called out to him with a bouquet in hand.
William thanked them, joking about the unexpected gift.
Asked to rate Bournemouth out of 10, he replied it’s “lovely,” especially when the sun shows up.
He kept a promise to Lily by stopping for a selfie on his way back, wrapping up the visit on a warm, personal note.

Prince William and Kate wow with last-minute surprise portrait drop
Prince William and Kates new portrait pleasantly surprised fans after their recent break from the tradition.
Captured by rising British-Nigerian photographer Christianah Ebenezer ahead of the Nigerian State Banquet at Windsor, the image shows the couple side by side.
Catherine delivered a standout fashion moment in a flowing green gown by Andrew Gn, a subtle tribute to Nigeria’s national colours.
The look was elevated with the iconic Lover’s Knot Tiara her first tiara appearance of the year alongside heirloom earrings once worn by Queen Elizabeth II.
Completing the regal outfit were the Royal Family Order of King Charles and the GCVO sash and star.
William matched the occasion in full white tie and a Windsor tailcoat, presenting a picture-perfect royal pairing ahead of the high-profile evening.
For Ebenezer, the moment marked a major milestone. Born in Lagos and raised in London, the photographer described the experience as a “true honour.”
While it was her first time photographing the Prince and Princess of Wales, she was no stranger to royal circles.
She previously shot 60th birthday portraits for Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and gaining recognition from figures like Lady Amelia Windsor.
The portrait drop came amid a busy schedule surrounding the State Visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who arrived in the UK on March 18.

“The Bachelorette” season with Taylor Frankie Paul canceled after 2023 video surfaces, ABC says
ABC has scrubbed the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette,” starring Taylor Frankie Paul, citing a newly released video from 2023.
Thursday’s unprecedented cancellation of the already filmed season of the long-running reality television show comes days before it was to premiere, on Sunday.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson said in a statement to CBS News.
The statement appeared to reference a 2023 video of an altercation between Paul and her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen, that was published by TMZ on Thursday. Paul was arrested in 2023 and charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, including domestic violence in the presence of a child. She pleaded guilty that August to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault; the other charges were dismissed.
A police spokesperson in Draper City, Utah, told People magazine that there was an open “domestic assault investigation” of Paul and Mortensen, and that “allegations have been made in both directions.” The Draper City Police Department confirmed to CBS News on Thursday evening the accuracy of People’s report. Mortensen is the father of one of Paul’s three children.
Representatives for Paul and Mortensen didn’t immediately return requests for comment. ABC’s statement didn’t include details on what the network planned to do with the show’s time slot.

Paul, who was promoting Season 22 as recently as Wednesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and on the red carpet before Sunday’s Oscars telecast, was an unusual choice to helm “The Bachelorette.” Unlike previous leads, the 31-year-old had not appeared on the “Bachelor” franchise before — a departure from the typical practice of casting runners-up from previous seasons.
Her selection did offer synergy, though, as she also stars on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” a Hulu reality show. Both Hulu and ABC are owned by Disney. In a statement confirming her casting in October, ABC credited Paul with “igniting ‘MomTok’ and going viral for pulling back the curtain on Salt Lake’s soft-swinging scene.”
Paul became known as an influencer in the #MomTok community, a group of women from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sharing their lives on TikTok. She made news when she announced in 2022 that she had “stepped out” of an agreement with her husband in terms of relationships with other couples, and they were getting divorced.
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” premiered in 2024. While Season 4 was released last week, filming on Season 5 had already paused over the investigation.
“It was a decision that all of us girls came up with,” Paul’s co-star Mikayla Matthews said Wednesday on Instagram in response to a fan question about the production freeze. “We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.”
Paul posted on Instagram in December that filming had wrapped on “The Bachelorette,” which is hosted by Jesse Palmer.
