Music superstar Cardi B and four-time NFL Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs are expecting their first child together.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper confirmed her pregnancy during a recent sit-down with morning television anchor Gayle King on “CBS Mornings.”

“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi B said during the pre-taped interview. “I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”

This will be the fourth child for the “Bodak Yellow” rapper. She shares two daughters, Blossom and Kulture, and a son, Wave, with fellow rapper Kiari Cephus, whose stage name is Offset. Diggs has an 8-year-old daughter, Nova, from a previous relationship, according to People.

Cardi B announcing that she will become a mother of four coincides with the news that she will embark on her first-ever headlining arena tour in support of her long-awaited second studio album, “Am I the Drama?”

Cardi B and Diggs’ baby is expected to arrive before the music star’s tour kicks off in February. It is unclear if the child could be born before the 60th edition of the Super Bowl.

The big game is scheduled for Feb. 8 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cardi B hits the road a few days later in Southern California.

Speculation about a romance between Cardi B and Diggs began swirling in October. The couple made their first public appearance together in May 2025 when they sat courtside at a New York Knicks playoff game at Madison Square Garden.

Reporters in the New England Patriots locker room asked Diggs if he had any celebrations in the works in light of Cardi B’s announcement.

“We’ll see,” he said Wednesday.

Diggs agreed to a three-year contract with the Patriots in the offseason. He missed the bulk of New England’s voluntary offseason program as he rehabbed from a torn ACL he sustained in Week 8 last season.

He was eventually fully medically cleared and appeared in each of the Patriots’ first two regular-season games. Diggs enters Week 3 with 89 receiving yards.

Diggs recorded at least 1,000 receiving yards in six consecutive seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills. He appeared in eight games during his lone season with the Houston Texans and finished the 2024 campaign with 496 yards.

Sources: LeBron eyes live 5-on-5 play as next step

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James continues to work out individually while recovering from the sciatica affecting his lower back and right side, and the next step in his return will be progressing to live 5-on-5 reps in practice, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Wednesday.

James will not travel with the Lakers on their upcoming five-game trip through Atlanta, Charlotte, Oklahoma City, New Orleans and Milwaukee, sources told ESPN.

While the Lakers are on the road, their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, will be practicing at the team’s practice facility in El Segundo, California. It is unclear whether James would join South Bay for practices or wait for the Lakers to return for a group session, sources told Charania.

This means the earliest James could return is Nov. 18, when L.A. hosts the Utah Jazz.

Last week, Lakers coach JJ Redick revealed a rough timeline for when the team could welcome the 40-year-old back to the lineup.

“Obviously, this thing has to continue to progress with all of his return-to-play protocols,” Redick said. “So we don’t have, like, a target date. It’s just somewhere in that general timeline. We hope that he’s kind of checked all the boxes and is going to be back sometime in that second or third week in November.”

Thursday will mark four weeks since the Lakers announced James’ sciatica diagnosis on Oct. 9. At that time, the team said it would reevaluate him in three to four weeks and provide an update.

L.A. has started the season 6-2 without James.

Whenever James plays his first game for the Lakers, he will become the first player in league history to have played 23 seasons in the NBA.

Cardinals placing QB Murray on injured reserve

Cardinals placing QB Murray on injured reserve

TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will go on injured reserve as he continues to rehabilitate a foot injury he suffered in Week 5, coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday.

The injury isn’t season-ending, Gannon said. Murray will have a chance to return if his foot gets healthy.

“I really do [hope that happens],” Gannon said. “We got a lot of ball to play, and one day at a time. And where he sits right now is he’s got to pour into his health bucket and get ready to get healthy.”

With Murray out for at least the next four weeks, Jacoby Brissett will continue to be the Cardinals’ starter with Kedon Slovis as his backup. Gannon said the Cardinals will look to add another quarterback.

“Jacoby does his job, takes it one day at a time, prepares when he wasn’t the starter, prepares to be the starter,” Gannon said. “He knows his role can change, and now he’s going to prepare the same way.”

Murray would be eligible to return in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams (Dec. 7).

The decision to put Murray on IR came together Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, Gannon said. It was a collective decision between the team and Murray, along with his representatives.

In the end, Gannon said, it was the best thing to do for Murray and for the team.

“He’s not fully healthy, ready to go yet, so that makes the most sense,” Gannon said. “Obviously that’s a change, but we just felt. looking at it right now, that’s the best thing for him and us.

“He’s fully committed. Right now, what he’s going to concentrate on is getting healthy. He’s not healthy enough to play. He needs to get healthy so he can get back to playing football.”

After weeks of uncertainty about whether Murray would or wouldn’t be healthy enough to play, Gannon said the decision to put Murray on injured reserve was based on the information the team currently has.

Gannon said it was “very fair” to say that Murray’s foot injury was a situation tougher for him to return from than other quarterbacks who don’t rely on their legs to make plays as much as Murray does.

“Obviously, for him, it prevents him from being fully healthy to go play, and him, as the person that he is and the player that he is, yes,” Gannon said. “And you could look at other things, like this injury for other people might not, but he’s played through some things that other positions, if they have those, they can’t play with those because of what they’re asked to do.”

Gannon said that Murray took the news “as good as you can take it” and added that the quarterback is in a good place to focus on his rehab.
