Dolly Parton risks facing major problems to her health: Insider rings alarm bells

Dolly Parton urged to learn how to pace herself

Dolly Parton, beloved country singer and songwriter has sparked fears all around with her decision not to slow down.

For those unversed, the singer is said to be dealing with something an official statement calls “just kidney stones” after her sister Freida led many to grow concerned over her Facebook post about needing ‘prayers’.

But as of right now an insider claims there is another reason her loved ones are fearful.

The reason is “Dolly doesn’t know the meaning of sitting still, she’s doing her best but it’s driving her absolutely batty being confined to bed or pottering around the house and not going full tilt,” they claimed to Heat World.

While “it’s understandable to a degree because her hard wiring means that being a workaholic is second nature,” the insider said, “but the worry is that she’s once again pushing herself without taking the adequate rest.”

So “unless she learns to pace herself, put her phone down and properly turn off , her relentlessness could ultimately lead to a major problem for her health,” they concluded by saying.

Freida Parton’s Statement:

She said, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”

Right after that post went viral Freida released a clarification that said, “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer … Thank you all for lifting her up.”

Dolly Parton’s Statement:

The star revealed that she’s “been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures”.

However, no details as of yet have been given, the singer only lightheartedly touched on the details when she said, “as I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile checkup, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

But “in all seriousness,” she said, “given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you … I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say.

“And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding.”

Colin Jost forced to make another joke about wife Scarlett Johansson on ‘SNL’

Colin Jost risks getting in trouble with Scarlett Johansson again

Colin Jost got set up by Michael Che on SNL once again, a year after the pair sparked uproar for comparing Scarlett Johansson to a roast beef sandwich.

The moment came during Saturday Night Live’s annual Christmas episode on December 20 with a special segment called “Weekend Update” joke swap.

“Tonight is our Christmas show, and we have a tradition where me and Colin give each other jokes to read that neither of us have ever seen,” Che explained the segment for viewers.

Jost, however, protested, saying he didn’t think they were doing the joke this year. “And you know that I did not write any jokes for you,” he said, prompting Che to reply, “Well, I guess you’ll just have to read mine.”

After delivering several jokes, Jost landed on the one aimed squarely at his wife of five years. “New research shows that millions of women leave the work force due to menopause. Which means there’s only a couple years left on my gravy train,” he read, laughing as a photo of Johansson appeared onscreen.

“My girl already be like, ‘Colin, I’m warm. Colin, I’m sweating.’ B****, you having a hot flash,” Jost continued. He then followed it up with another punchline: “But don’t worry about me, I got a backup. They don’t call Wednesday hump day for nothing.”

The moment echoed last year’s viral joke swap, when Jost delivered another Che-written jab that left Johansson visibly stunned backstage.

Reflecting on that moment earlier this year, Johansson admitted, “It was so vulgar. I just can’t believe that they went there.”

Pakistan U19 skipper eyes World Cup glory after Asia Cup win over India

DUBAI: Pakistan Under-19 captain Farhan Yousaf has set his sights on World Cup success after leading his side to victory over India in the Asia Cup 2025 final, underlining the team’s growing confidence on the international stage.

“Our next aim is simple,” Yousaf said in an interview with Geo News after the victory. “We want to be world champions.”

Yousaf said the team remained composed despite losing the toss, adding that being asked to bat first proved decisive on a pitch that favoured batting.

“We were disappointed to lose the toss, but once we were put in to bat, we were happy because the wicket looked good,” he said. “We stuck to the plan we had discussed and executed it well.”

Pakistan posted a formidable total of 347 runs, a score that allowed the captain to demand an aggressive approach from his bowlers.

“After we got that total, I told the bowlers to think as if they were defending 250 and to attack from the start,” he said. “They kept that mindset, took wickets and applied pressure.”

The final was played in front of a packed crowd that included both Pakistani and Indian supporters, adding to the intensity of the occasion.

“Playing such an important match with fans from both countries in the stadium made it even more enjoyable,” Yousaf said.

With the Asia Cup secured, Pakistan’s Under-19 side will next compete in a tri-nation series in Zimbabwe before turning their attention to the Under-19 World Cup.

Born in Kasur, Punjab, on December 15, 2006, Yousaf is a right-handed middle-order batter and one of Pakistan’s emerging leaders, now focused firmly on translating continental success into global silverware.
