Ella Purnell teases Lucy’s dark turn in ‘Fallout’ season 2
Ella Purnell says fans of Fallout will see a shocking new side of Lucy MacLean in Season 2.
Speaking with Deadline about the episode titled The Demon in the Snow, now streaming on Prime Video, Purnell revealed she loved getting to explore Lucy’s more dangerous side during a drug-fueled sequence that temporarily removes the character’s fear of violence.
“I couldn’t believe it. I felt so scandalous. Coming from any other character, you’d be like, ‘Yeah, it’s just Fallout,’ but just something about it being Lucy, it feels scandalous. I couldn’t believe it. It’s like when you’re like little sister goes out and gets a little wild—it’s crazy,” she said.
“Very fun to see that side of her, to play that side of her, and also, a new experience for me. I haven’t done that a lot in my career. I didn’t know how it was gonna turn out. It turned out good, thank God, I think.”
Lucy’s violent shift happens after she receives a life-saving Buffout steroid drip following a near-death experience in the previous episode. Under the drug’s influence, her usual moral compass disappears, leading to a deadly — and comedic — killing spree.
“But yeah, very fun to play a side of Lucy that is fearless for once,” Purnell added. “But to play a character who truly doesn’t conceive the notion of death for just five minutes of the day… it changes all the tension in the scene… and I get to play with some comedy in there, it was really fun.”
Purnell also addressed switching between Lucy and her other role, serial killer Rhiannon Lewis in Sweetpea.
“It’s a weird switch to make actually,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Rhiannon would do that in a heartbeat.’”

what happens to stranded passengers now?
The most economical airline operating across America has announced a major decision.
Spirit Airlines shares the news that it is shutting down its business, canceling all flights on May 2, 2026.
The airline has been facing serious economic crush since the covid-19 pandemic.
Spirit, multiple times in recent years, has warned of its poor economic health, stating there was “substantial doubt” over its ability to continue flying the operations.
The airline has filed for bankruptcy twice, with the most recent in August 2025.
In 2025, Spirit was ranked as the eighth-largest US airline by its seating capacity.
The airline was widely recognized as offering the ultra-economical base fares in the US, charging extra for things like carry-on bags.
What happens to stranded passengers now?
Spirit had booking of about 9,000 flights from May 2 to the end of the month, totaling 1.8 million seats, as per the aviation analytics firm Cirium.
So over the coming month, an estimated 300 flights and 60,000 passengers will be affected every single day.
The sudden cancellation will further push the domestic US flight fares across the aviation industry.
Now, with Spirit canceling the 2% of domestic US flights it was scheduled to operate this summer, fares are likely to surge across the industry.
Over the last 25 years, eight key US airlines have filed for bankruptcy, but a complete airline shutdown is far more unusual.
Spirit’s closure is seen as the first shutdown of a major US airline since Midway Airlines collapsed in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
According to CNN, other US airlines have stepped up to support the affected passengers.
However, the outlet didn’t mention what the policy would be for these airlines to follow but did mention American Airlines officials, who said it had “immediately implemented fare caps on Main Cabin tickets for Spirit routes where we also offer nonstop service.”

Sydney Sweeney hard launches her romance with beau Scooter Braun
Well, that soft launch has officially become a full-blown hard launch.
Sydney Sweeney just made things very Instagram official with Scooter Braun – and fans wasted approximately three seconds before turning the comments section into a full FBI investigation.
The Euphoria star dropped a Stagecoach photo carousel on Friday that looked innocent enough at first: cowboy vibes, festival lights, karaoke chaos. Then came the cuddling photos.
One snapshot showed the pair squeezed together in a photo booth making goofy faces, while another featured Braun literally carrying Sweeney bridal-style through the crowd like this was the final scene of a rom-com nobody saw coming.
There was also a clip of them singing karaoke together and another of Sweeney perched on his shoulders during a performance because apparently subtlety has officially left the chat.
“cowboy kind of weekend,” she captioned the post — which may be the understatement of the year.
Braun had already hinted at the romance weeks earlier after posting Sweeney on his Instagram Story, but this is the clearest confirmation yet that the two are no longer trying to keep things low-key.
The pair reportedly started dating in September 2025 after meeting at the lavish wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Venice.
Since then, they have been spotted on multiple dates and holding hands publicly.
Now? The internet has officially upgraded them from rumour to relationship status.
