King Charles’s image in traditional Highland dress has taken on new symbolism after a portrait of the monarch was unveiled at the Scottish Parliament this week. 

The portrait, captured by photographer Millie Pilkington in the sunken garden at Balmoral Castle last autumn, shows the King wearing the King Charles III tartan and holding a handcrafted stick gifted by the Mey Highland Games. 

The painting was unveiled by Princess Anne, who smiled as she pulled away the covering. 

The image will hang beside a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which Anne also revealed in 2011.

Royal supporters praised Charles’ embrace of Scottish tradition, noting his long history of donning kilts at official engagements. 

But the unveiling has once again drawn attention to William, the Prince of Wales, who despite holding several Scottish titles has consistently chosen conventional suits over Highland dress.

The kilt, seen by many as a powerful symbol of Scottish heritage and royal connection to the Highlands, now takes on added weight with the King’s likeness immortalized in it. 

Whether his heir will ever follow suit remains an open question.

Pete Davidson is eager to welcome his first child with Elsie Hewitt.

A well-placed source told PEOPLE magazine that the 31-year-old comedian and actor and his girlfriend, Hewitt, are “so excited about becoming parents.”

The insider revealed, “Pete and Elsie are doing great, and they’re both so excited about becoming parents.”

Per the source, “Pete’s been preparing in every way he can, from helping get the nursery ready to making sure Elsie feels supported every step of the way, and it’s clear how much he’s looking forward to fatherhood.”

They went on to note that the Saturday Night Live star is “really embracing” this forthcoming phase of his life with Hewitt, who is a model, actress, and influencer by profession.

“He talks about how this is the most meaningful chapter of his life yet, and he’s really embracing it,” the insider shared.

Hewitt is also wholeheartedly “loving this stage of pregnancy” and the fact that it has made a positive impact on her relationship with Davidson.

“Elsie is glowing and loving this stage of pregnancy, and it’s brought the two of them even closer. They’re savoring the little moments, from picking out baby clothes to planning for what life will look like once the baby arrives,” noted the source.

“They can’t wait to welcome their child and start this next chapter together as a family,” the source claimed.

For those unaware, Davidson and Hewitt made their relationship Instagram official in March 2025 and made their first red carpet debut in May 2025.

It is pertinent to mention that the 29-year-old mom-to-be took to her Instagram on Wednesday, July 16, and announced her pregnancy by posting a carousel of pictures, including a snap of the sonogram.

It is being reported that Lindsay Lohan has distanced herself from her jailed father, Michael Lohan.

For those unaware, the 65-year-old American TV personality was taken into custody on March 10, 2025, in Palm Beach County, Florida, for violating his probation after his estranged wife, Kate Major, accused him of domestic violence, such as shoving, hitting, attempting to strangle, and biting her.

Per Radar Online, the 39-year-old Hollywood actress and singer is putting money in her dad’s prison commissary account, which she is receiving from his estranged wife, Kate Major.

A well-placed insider told the outlet, “Everybody assumed Lindsay was slipping him money out of guilt or family loyalty. But Lindsay has completely cut herself off from Michael’s chaos.”

Despite having a terrible relationship with his wife, Michael still gets snacks, toiletries, and the occasional splurge behind bars from the money of Kate, who tied the knot with Michael in 2014 but has been living alone for years.

“It’s Kate wiring the money. She’s the one quietly wiring the money. No big announcements, no drama, just small, steady deposits.”

Even though Kate and Michael had a rocky history, she is still providing for him “maybe it’s guilt, maybe it’s habit, maybe it’s some kind of loyalty. But for whatever reason, she hasn’t cut him off,” per the insider.
