Miley Cyrus opens up about family accident

Miley Cyrus just revealed she was taken to the hospital instantly after “blending” her hand accidently while cooking for her family.
The 32-year-old pop star sat down for a joint interview with her mom Tish Cyrus and her sisters with her elder sibling Brandi recalling the year when Miley attempted to take charge in the kitchen and ended up needing stitches.
Brandi told The Cut: “The one year you tried to cook [Thanksgiving dinner], you cut your finger off… “
Miley then chimed in and said, “True. That was forever ago. It was a handheld blender – I blended my hand. I cook every now and then.”
“But I wouldn’t say it’s something Mom really likes to have happen at her house because she likes to keep the kitchen clean and it just makes a bigger mess than she would prefer. But dinners aren’t really our thing,” the Wrecking Ball crooner further mentioned.
The accident happened back in 2012 and a representative of Miley at that time told Us Weekly, “She cut her finger while cooking. Had to get a few stitches. She’s doing fine.”
Additionally, it is also pertinent to mention that the Flowers hitmaker’s family has been swamped with rumors of feuding with one another after the kids had a fall out with their dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, post his divorce with their mom, Tish.
Miley recently insisted the family rift is being repaired and in the interview with The Cut, she explained “One thing I’ve always loved about our family is that we’re very honorable and respectful of each other’s differences; I think a lot of families get torn apart from their differences.”
“There are similarities between all of us – mostly Mom’s genetics. But when it comes to style, and even our ideas and our views and our opinions, all of us are really respectful toward each other and celebrate each of us having our own identity,” she added.
“Mom has really grown with that too because when you’re a child, it’s the time for a parent to infuse their ideology, but as we’ve gotten older, we’ve found our own opinions and ideas individually. That’s not just about politics – or religion, which we try to not discuss,” Miley Cyrus concluded.

Expert reveals why Duke of York title will remain dormant after Andrew

Prince Louis is unlikely ever to hold the title Duke of York, a royal commentator has predicted.
According to GB News, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the People’s Channel that the title’s association with Prince Andrew, who recently surrendered the use of his royal titles amid renewed scrutiny of his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, makes it “too soon” for another royal to inherit it.

“Certain titles are identified with their holders, maybe unfairly,” Fitzwilliams said.
“We are in an age where instant information is available, and Duke of York rings alarm bells worldwide.”
Traditionally, the title has been granted to the sovereign’s second son since the 15th century.
Queen Elizabeth II’s father, King George VI, was the Duke of York before ascending the throne, and Prince Andrew received it upon his marriage in 1986.
However, Fitzwilliams believes that, following years of damaging headlines and Andrew’s infamous 2019 BBC interview with Emily Maitlis, “there probably will never be another Duke of York.”
He compared the situation to the Duke of Windsor title, which was retired following King Edward VIII’s abdication in 1936.
When Prince Andrew dies, the title is expected to revert to the Crown, potentially remaining dormant for generations.

“Mayor of Kingstown” stars describe what to expect during the show’s upcoming season and working together for the first time

The stakes are high as season four of “Mayor of Kingstown” unfolds, Jeremy Renner revealed on “CBS Mornings” on Wednesday.
“It is a pretty intense show. … all the main storyline involves all of the players, the main players, in the show. So there are not a lot of side storylines that you have to kind of follow, so it keeps everything pretty intense for everybody on the show,” Renner said.
Renner plays Mike McLusky, whose brother is an incarcerated cop. This season, Edie Falco joins the cast to play Nina Hobbs, the new warden at Anchor Bay Prison.
“To come up against a brick wall like Nina Hobbs, the new warden in town, creates real real real problems for Mike throughout the entire season,” Renner said.
After recovering from an accident on New Year’s Day in 2023, Renner — who broke 38 bones and had to undergo multiple surgeries — said the crew on “Mayor of Kingstown” has been helpful to him as he returned to set.
“Everybody is very good about taking care of me,” he said.
Renner and Falco on working together
Falco, an Emmy-award winner and former star of “The Sopranos,” said she enjoys playing strong female characters like Hobbs.
“On more than one occasion, my agents have called me and said, ‘well the part was written for a man.’ … After I learned not to take that personally, I’ve come to really enjoy the place of power that a lot of these women stand in and do so with a great amount of confidence,” Falco said.
It’s the first time Renner and Falco have worked together.
“When you’re working opposite an actor, if you look in their eyes there’s part of them that’s always saying, ‘hi. Look at us. We’re on this show.’ … And there was none of that. He’s the guy,” Falco said of Renner. “And it makes the playground completely real for me.”
Renner said Falco is “tremendous” as his on-screen counterpart.
“First of all, also it’s a great character. It’s a really strong female character, which is amazing. Such a great adversary really and then there’s nobody better to fill those shoes.”
“Mayor of Kingstown” returns Sunday, Oct. 26 on Paramount+.
