Princess Diana’s butler speaks out about her movie debut: ‘He can’t be serious!’

With the release of Paul Burell’s book The Royal Insider: My Life with the Queen, the King and Princess Diana, the former butler revealed a surprising offer made to the people’s princess before her passing.
The book has been excerpted by the Daily Mail and according to one of its quotes, Diana “was approached to appear in The Bodyguard II alongside Kevin Costner.”
“I put the call from Mr. Costner through to her in the sitting room and heard fits of giggles with her saying, ‘But I can’t sing! What would I be expected to do? I’m not sure but yes, OK, send it and I promise I will have a look,” he reminisced.
While Mr Burell claims the princess was highly flattered she reportedly said, “he can’t be serious” because such a project would be “entirely impossible” to her.
However, according to Kevin Costner himself, that is not how it went down .
Back in 2024 on The Howard Stern Show he claimed the opposite and said, “she goes, ‘My life’s about to change’, She said, ‘Is there going to be a kissing scene?’ And I said, ‘Do you want there to be one?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ And I said, ‘Then we’ll do that.’”
For those unversed, came out in 2007, and is an action comedy, Princess Diana passed away years before its release, in August of 1997, due to a high speed car chase in Paris.

Prince William reaches a new point with Prince Harry as mental health is threatened

Prince William has reportedly made some major changes to his thoughts about Prince Harry, as well as the space he holds in his mind and life.
News about this has been shared by a well placed insider that just spoke to Womans’ Day.
According to their findings, ever since Prince Harry received an hour-long meeting with King Charles, his brother has been holding a very distant stance.
Earlier reports even claimed, “William is back at the point where if you mention Prince Harry in his presence, he would throw you out of the room,” according to Heat World.
This time around a source has warned that even Prince William’s own mental health is under threat because while the US has awarded him a 8000km distance from his brother, any chance that he may jet to the other side of the pond, “could take a toll on William’s mental health.”
The source has even been quoted saying, “for some time now, William’s anger has cooled to the point of being indifferent over his brother, which was healthy for his mental wellbeing.”
As of right now though “William had got to the stage where Harry was a ‘non-person’, he had fallen so far beneath his radar as to have disappeared from his mind altogether.”

Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco’s potential wedding guest list revealed

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are taking the plunge in true Hollywood style.
According to Us Weekly, the couple’s wedding is already shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrity events of the year.
Reportedly, they have been chatting with famed planner Mindy Weiss at the helm.
It is noteworthy that Weiss, who has masterminded events for Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Diana Ross and Serena Williams, is known for over-the-top productions including the heart-shaped rose display where Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian in 2021.
“It will be a huge, A-list, star-studded wedding planned by Mindy Weiss,” a source told the outlet.
In addition to this, the source added that Taylor Swift, Martin Short, Ashley Park and Paris Hilton are all expected to attend.
However, guests have been kept in the dark about the location, with insiders revealing that shuttle buses will transport attendees from their hotels to the wedding and rehearsal.
Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, announced their engagement in December 2024 after one year of dating.

Sinclair says it’s bringing back “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on its stations tonight

Sinclair Broadcasting on Friday said it is returning “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to its ABC stations, ending its preemption of the late-night show over remarks host Jimmy Kimmel had made on the program related to the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The show will air on its ABC affiliates tonight, Sinclair said in a statement. Sinclair owns 38 ABC stations across the U.S.
Disney’s ABC brought Kimmel’s show back on Tuesday following a six-day suspension, but stations owned by Sinclair and Nexstar — about a quarter of the network’s affiliates — had continued to air other programming in that time slot instead.
“Our objective throughout this process has been to ensure that programming remains accurate and engaging for the widest possible audience,” Sinclair said in its statement said. “We take seriously our responsibility as local broadcasters to provide programming that serves the interests of our communities, while also honoring our obligations to air national network programming.”
Nexstar, which operates about 30 ABC affiliates, also preempted the show and has not yet indicated if and when it will return “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to the air. The company didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
