Start time, favourites, how to watch live
The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Grand finale is set to broadcast on May 16, 2027, at 21:00 CEST.
The event is happening at Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle, with 25 countries competing for the coveted trophy in the competition’s 70th anniversary year.
Finland is seen as the clear favourite, while Australia, Greece, Israel, and Romania are considered other favourites as well. The United Kingdom, with its act called “Look Mum No Computer,” featuring Sam Battle with an electro-pop song called “Eins, Zwei, Drei,” is forecast to have difficulty at the bottom of the standings.
Eurovision legends Ruslana, Lordi, and Verka Serduchka will also perform a special anniversary performance.
Countries like Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy and Slovenia are boycotting the event over Israel’s participation. Protests are also organised in Vienna ahead of the final.
The live broadcast will be airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm BST, where Graham Norton will comment on the show. In Australia, the match can be streamed free of charge via SBS On Demand.
It is likely that the winner will be declared around 11pm BST.
Additionally, fans can also stream the event via the official Eurovision YouTube Channel.

Taylor Swift marks historical milestone on Global Spotify charts
Taylor Swift has now been crowned with the musician with the biggest streaming debut on the Global Spotify chart in the history of the platform.
The 36-year-old pop superstar marked the biggest debut with her 2025 release, The Fate of Ophelia, from her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The Opalite hitmaker achieved a total number of 30.98 million streams with the song, closely followed by none other than her own songs, Fortnight, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, and more songs – dominating the top 50 list.
The new milestone comes among fan theories about Swift’s 13th album in the works.
The 14-time-Grammy winner has been making a series of public appearances, putting an end to her previously lowkey lifestyle with Travis Kelce.
Swifties, knowing that the Eras Tour performer doesn’t take any actions unintentionally, are waiting on the announcement or any Easter Egg from Swift.

Everything you need to know about legendary comeback bout
Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano are finally set to collide in what may be the wildest MMA comeback fight in years and the internet is absolutely losing its mind over it.
The long-rumored showdown between the two former faces of women’s MMA will headline MVP MMA 1 at the Intuit Dome in California this Saturday, with Netflix streaming the chaos live worldwide.
For combat sport fans, this is pure nostalgia injected with madness.
Rousey hasn’t fought since getting brutally knocked out by Amanda Nunes back in 2016, while Carano has been away from MMA for an unbelievable 17 years.
The former Strikeforce star revealed she dropped a staggering 100 pounds to prepare for the bout after struggling with health and mobility issues in recent years.
UFC gurus predict Rousey as a massive favourite since Carano has been away from fighting for a long period of time; however, the experts didn’t rule what many describe as an “upset”.
One viral betting thread on Reddit bluntly declared: “Gina hasn’t fought in 17 years,” with users calling Rousey by submission “free money.” Others joked the event feels like “a Hollywood fever dream” rather than a real MMA card.
UFC fightcard:
- Francis Ngannou vs Philipe Lins
- Nate Diaz vs Mike Perry
- Rousey vs Carano
After years away from fighting, both women are about to test whether legends can still survive inside the cage or whether this entire spectacle ends in disaster.
