Anthropic is expanding its deal with Google to use as many as one million of the tech giant’s artificial intelligence chips, worth tens of billions of dollars, as the startup races to advance its AI systems in the competitive market.

Under the deal announced on Thursday, Anthropic will have access to more than one gigawatt of computing capacity, coming online in 2026, to train the next generations of its Claude AI model on Google’s in-house tensor processing units, or TPUs, which were traditionally reserved for internal use.

Anthropic said it chose the TPUs due to their price-performance ratio and efficiency, as well as its existing experience in training and serving its Claude models with the processors.

The deal is the latest sign of insatiable chip demand in the AI industry, where companies are rushing to develop technology that can match or surpass human intelligence.

Alphabet-owned Google, whose TPUs are available for rent on Google Cloud and serve an alternative to supply-constrained Nvidia chips, will also provide additional cloud computing services to Anthropic.

Rival OpenAI recently signed multiple deals that may cost over $1 trillion to secure about 26 gigawatts of computing capacity, enough to power roughly 20 million US homes. One gigawatt of compute can cost roughly $50 billion, industry executives have said.

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI is actively using Nvidia’s graphics processing units and AMD’s AI chips to power its growing demand.

Reuters exclusively reported earlier in October that Anthropic is projecting to more than double, and potentially nearly triple, its annualised revenue run rate next year, fueled by the rapid adoption of its enterprise products.

The startup emphasises AI safety and building models for enterprise use cases. Its models have helped power a boom in vibe coding startups such as Cursor.

Nicole Kidman’s close pal breaks silence on shocking split from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman’s pal reacts to shocking split from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman’s close pal has expressed her shock over the Babygirl actress’s split from husband Keith Urban.

Isla Fisher, who is Nicole’s Australian friend, spoke about the Oscar-winning actress’ broken marriage during her recent appearance on the Fly On The Wall podcast on Thursday.

It is pertinent to mention that Nicole filed for divorce from Keith after nearly 20 years of marriage on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences.

Isla revealed on the podcast that the news of Nicole’s split was very shocking for her.

“I’m really, really, really shocked,” she said.

However, she has not talked to Nicole, “I have left a message. I have not connected yet.”

Isla further noted that she does not want to share any remarks on it out of courtesy to Nicole and Keith’s daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

“I don’t really wanna comment on that because there are children involved,” she added.

At the time of the split, a source told People that Nicole tried every move in her power to save her marriage but Keith seemed to have “moved on” and she was “hurt” by the crooner’s changed behavior.

“Keith has not been honest,” the insider revealed to the outlet. “She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on.”

Kourtney Kardashian takes a dig at sisters Kim, Khloe’s fashion choices

Kourtney Kardashian spills on her new style vibes

Kourtney Kardashian is appeared to be taking a subtle dig at her sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian’s fashion choices.

In the premiere of The Kardashians season seven, released on Thursday, the Lemme founder revealed that she prefers more “casual” and “effortless” style rather than her sisters Kim and Khloe’s “try-too-hard” dresses.

During a discussion with her mom, Kris Jenner, about some “worst fitting” of her life during Coachella Music Festival and her birthday bash, she confessed her stylists are struggling with her style sense and she is fine with her body image.

“My general vibe is more casual, effortless. That’s when I feel my best and my coolest, is when it’s not try-too-hard,” Kourtney said to Kris, noting she does not want to wear heels and dresses like her sister.

“I need to be able to move freely, I’m breastfeeding… I need to be able to run after them and not be in 6-inch heels,” the Poosh founder explained in a confessional.

“I don’t really wanna be in a corset with my boobs popping out, either,” she added.

It is pertinent to mention that Kourtney is mom to 23-month-old son Rocky, whom she shares with her husband, Travis Barker.

The TV personality is also mom to three kids, sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, and daughter Penelope, 13, whom she welcomed with her ex Scott Disick.

Johnny Depp returns to Hollywood with next movie

Johnny Depp set to make Hollywood comeback with this film

Johnny Depp is officially returning to major Hollywood studio films with a dark new take on a Christmas classic.

The 62-year-old actor will star as Ebenezer Scrooge in Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, a reimagining of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novella from Paramount Pictures.

Billed as a “thrilling ghost story set in Dickens’ London,” the film follows a man forced to confront his past, present, and future to earn a second chance.

Horror filmmaker Ti West, known for X, Pearl and MaXXXine, will direct from a screenplay by Nathaniel Halpern (Tales from the Loop). Joining Depp in the cast is To Leslie Oscar nominee Andrea Riseborough.

The film is slated for release on November 13, 2026, per Deadline.

Ebenezer marks Depp’s first major Hollywood studio project since 2019’s Waiting for the Barbarians and 2018’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

In recent years, Depp has focused on European cinema, starring in the French biopic Jeanne du Barry and directing Modì: Three Days on the Wing of Madness, which hits US theaters November 7. He also stars opposite Penélope Cruz in the upcoming thriller Day Drinker.

Meanwhile, another dark A Christmas Carol adaptation is also in the works from Nosferatu director Robert Eggers and star Willem Dafoe.

Depp largely stepped back from Hollywood after his high-profile 2022 defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
