Anthropic is expanding its deal with Google to use as many as one million of the tech giant’s artificial intelligence chips, worth tens of billions of dollars, as the startup races to advance its AI systems in the competitive market.

Under the deal announced on Thursday, Anthropic will have access to more than one gigawatt of computing capacity, coming online in 2026, to train the next generations of its Claude AI model on Google’s in-house tensor processing units, or TPUs, which were traditionally reserved for internal use.

Anthropic said it chose the TPUs due to their price-performance ratio and efficiency, as well as its existing experience in training and serving its Claude models with the processors.

The deal is the latest sign of insatiable chip demand in the AI industry, where companies are rushing to develop technology that can match or surpass human intelligence.

Alphabet-owned Google, whose TPUs are available for rent on Google Cloud and serve an alternative to supply-constrained Nvidia chips, will also provide additional cloud computing services to Anthropic.

Rival OpenAI recently signed multiple deals that may cost over $1 trillion to secure about 26 gigawatts of computing capacity, enough to power roughly 20 million US homes. One gigawatt of compute can cost roughly $50 billion, industry executives have said.

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI is actively using Nvidia’s graphics processing units and AMD’s AI chips to power its growing demand.

Reuters exclusively reported earlier in October that Anthropic is projecting to more than double, and potentially nearly triple, its annualised revenue run rate next year, fueled by the rapid adoption of its enterprise products.

The startup emphasises AI safety and building models for enterprise use cases. Its models have helped power a boom in vibe coding startups such as Cursor.

21 Savage says Drake ignored his advice before Kendrick Lamar feud

21 Savage, British rapper, revealed that he once tried to stop Drake from stepping into a risky situation with Kendrick Lamar that later took over the rap scene.

While talking on the Perspektives With Bank podcast, the rapper said he warned Drake not to respond when things started heating up with Lamar.

He told him, “You finna go into a battle that you can’t win. There’s no way you can win.”

Savage also said he advised Drake “not to do all that s***” and to “leave that s*** alone.”

Even with that warning, the rapper said he understood the Which One hitmaker’s mindset.

Drake felt pushed and wanted to answer back with his lyrics. Still, Savage believed the whole battle was pointless.

He explained, “Even if you win, you still don’t win. The only difference is, when you’re at the top… where does winning put you? You can’t go Number One Point One. So how the f*** could you win, anyway?”

Many fans felt the Lamar came out on top, especially after his track Not Like Us became a major hit.

However, Savage did not think Drake was badly affected, “Nah. I feel like he took an internet hit,” he said, adding that online attention also drives streaming numbers.

The drama later moved into court, as Drake sued his own label, Universal Music Group, claiming defamation over the release and promotion of Not Like Us.

In October, a judge in New York dismissed the case.

Judge Jeannette Vargas ruled that the song was part of a heated rap exchange and not defamation.

Universal Music Group welcomed the decision and said the lawsuit should never have happened.

The company said it would continue supporting Drake and promoting his music.

Prince Harry speaks up about UK return amid shocking accusations

Prince Harry shares exciting update on UK return amid shocking claims

Prince Harry returned to the spotlight with a new video in which he’s celebrating his UK return, which is set to take place in the near future.

The Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games team released a video featuring special moments from the year 2025.

Notably, the background voice in the video was of Harry from his earlier appearance at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.

He said, “Bring on Invictus Games Birmingham 2027.”

The statement alongside the video reads, “As we look back on an extraordinary year for the # InvictusGames Foundation, this film celebrates the moments that defined our community in 2025.

“From global programmes that strengthened recovery to events that connected nations and families, we saw the power of service and sport change lives and save lives.”

At the end of the message, Harry’s spokesperson expressed gratitude towards the “nations, supporters, partners and of course the wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans” for being a source of inspiration and making the Invictus Community proud.

“Your resilience and spirit moved us through another unforgettable year. Here is to continued recovery. Here is to impact that lasts. Here is to @birmingham_2027. Here is to the Invictus Community,” the note said.

It is important to mention that Prince Harry’s video, in which he excitedly announces his UK comeback, has been posted at the same time as the Duke of Sussex has been accused of plotting secret games.

For the unversed, Harry is currently waiting for the decision regarding his taxpayer-funded security after the Home Office asked officials to review his case.

Earlier, Cosmopolitan quoted an insider who claimed that it is not only about getting back security but “a fully functioning royal court in Britain” in order to “compete” with his brother, Prince William and regain his position in his homeland.
