Cardi B reveals she’s expecting baby with Stefon Diggs, reflects on falling in love again in “CBS Mornings” interview

Cardi B is expecting her fourth child, the rapper exclusively announced Wednesday on “CBS Mornings.”

The Grammy winner revealed she is having a baby with her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, confirming weeks of speculation about her personal life. She said the baby is due before the start of her first arena tour, “Little Miss Drama,” which begins in February.

The 32-year-old said she feels “excited” and “happy,” while preparing to release new music and balancing motherhood.

“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other,” she said.

Cardi B said she and Diggs share the same ambition, each determined to be “the greatest” in their fields. She also credited Diggs with giving her a sense of stability as she readies her next album, “Am I The Drama?,” which includes a track called “Safe.”

“And he just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” she said. “I mean, like, two weeks ago I was literally having a panic attack. I was, like, crying and crying and crying, just because I was just getting really nervous with you know, the whole album rollout … People were coming at me very hard. You know, sometimes people love you, people hate you. And people was just saying very mean things about me.”

She admitted harsh criticism sometimes makes her question releasing music.

“And I’m like, see, this is why I don’t put music out, because it’s like, this is my art and this is something that I put a lotta love and time to. And it’s just like, sometimes, when people just rip it apart it just hurts you and it crushes you,” she said.

Through it all, Cardi B — whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar — said Diggs’ support keeps her steady.

“He makes me feel very confident. And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”

She added that she waited to announce the pregnancy until she was able to “close some deals first.” She also admitted she has not yet told her parents, jokingly saying she is “scared of them.”

Cardi B, who shares three children with rapper Offset, said she was reluctant to fall in love again amid their high-profile divorce. But she recalled Diggs telling her: “Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you.”

Now that pregnancy rumors are confirmed, Cardi B used her world-famous humor to ask fans to purchase her new album: “Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff. I told you. Now go support my album, cause I’m a mother of four now.”

Cardi B says her sophomore album feels “complete.”

“I feel like it touch every little thing that I want to touch. And I just feel like it’s something that is not out there right now.”

“Am I The Drama?” is scheduled to be released on Sept. 19. Watch more of King’s interview with Cardi B where the rapper gets candid about her recent trial, and her viral on-the-street album promotion on “CBS Mornings” on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 a.m. ET.

Prince Harry triggers fresh war with King Charles, Prince William

Prince Harry triggers fresh war with King Charles, Prince William

Prince Harry has yet again plunged his father from the frying pan, and straight into the fire, with his fresh new war of optics, allegedly.

Everything has been broken down by royal commentator and Daily Beast contributor Tom Skyes, on his substack ‘The Royalist’.

There he claims that while sources revealed earlier that regular phone calls have once again resumed between father and son, and many assumed that Harry would ‘avoid overshadowing’ major royal events like Rememberance Sunday slated for November 9th, or even Armistice Day on November 11th, “to make his own gesture,” Instead, “he has triggered a fresh optics war.”

According to Mr Skyes “His team denies any intent to overshadow William’s Rio showcase—featuring Kylie Minogue and attended by global political leaders—but blamed the late announcement on Harry’s lack of International Protected Person status and ongoing security disputes.”

But to the writer that explanation is “unlikely to convinced because when placed alongside someone like his older brother’s trip to Brazil, “a charity dinner in Toronto risks looking modest.”

For those unversed with this trip, the Duke has a lot lined up for Canada. From visiting the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre to attending events in support of veterans on Remembrance Day.

Furthermore, all this will follow a private lunch organized by the True Patriot Love Foundation, a group dedicated to supporting Canadian military members and their families.

Tom Hanks admits he faced ‘terrifying’ situation in his new play ‘This World of Tomorrow’

Tom Hanks says he forgot his lines in new play ‘This World of Tomorrow’

Tom Hanks recently got candid and opened up about forgetting his lines during his new Off-Broadway play, This World of Tomorrow.

On the Monday, November 3 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 69-year-old American actor and filmmaker appeared to promote his show, This World of Tomorrow, which he also co-wrote with James Glossman.

While talking about his Off-Broadway show, Hanks told the host that he forgot his lines during preview performances of the show.

He explained, “I disappeared the other night, as a matter of fact,” and joked that his costars in the play Kelli O’Hara and Ruben Santiago-Hudson “all just kind of look at me and go, ‘Come on, man. I learned my lines, haven’t you learned yours?’”

Colbert enquired him how the experience felt different as he penned the play, to which the two-time Oscar-winning actor replied, “Yes it is. No. 1 because, they are gonna have a real hard time firing me if I screw up.”

Hanks went on to state that co-writing the play with Glossman has been “a pleasure and a joy,” but it is also “as terrifying a situation I’ve ever had.”

“The huge difference between film and stage is, in film the director is the governor of the story. He can change it, not say it, don’t say that, say this instead. The stage, if it’s not on the page, it ain’t on the stage. The writers are the definitive arbiters of what is being said,” the Saving Private Ryan star explained.

Cher reflects on her legacy, career and latest projects: “I’ve always been exactly who I am”

Cher reflects on her legacy, career and latest projects: “I’ve always been exactly who I am”

Cher has spent six decades working in music, movies and fashion — and the cultural icon is not slowing down.

Over the span of her career, Cher said she’s never reinvented herself.

“I was popular or I wasn’t popular,” she said in an interview that aired Tuesday on “CBS Mornings.” “But I’ve always been exactly who I am.”

“Like I always thought of myself as a bumper car ’cause like if I hit the wall, I would just back up and go in a different direction,” she said.

Entrepreneurial work and memoir

Her latest project is taking her in a sweet direction.

Cherlato, a gelato brand, is a passion project for Cher that’s 10 years in the making.

Just recently, she was tasting flavors for the brand in her kitchen. “We had like 10 chocolates ’cause we’re still working on it all the time,” she said.

The gelato is currently available in pop-up locations, including a recent stop in New York City where fans were able to try the singer’s creations.

“I’ve been a fan of Cher my whole life. My mother’s a fan of Cher. My grandmother’s a fan of Cher and it kind of transcends generations,” said Darian Simas, one fan at the pop-up.

The crowd also got a surprise visit from the superstar.

“You don’t put your name on anything, so I’m like, ‘this gonna be some good gelato today'” another fan, Javi Rodriguez, told Cher.

Cher said she’s grateful for the trust fans around the world put in her.

“I get offered to do everything … and … I just don’t want to, because people feel that I wouldn’t lie to them and I don’t wanna ever have, you know, I don’t ever want that to change,” she said.

Last year, Cher wrote about her early career and marriage to Sonny Bono in “Cher: The Memoir Part One.” It became an instant New York Times bestseller.

Now she’s releasing a paperback version with a new addition and she’s thinking ahead to the second volume of her life story.

“I wanna go back and just have this extension, because I didn’t even think about it until a little while ago. I remembered a story, and I hadn’t said it, and then I remembered why I hadn’t said it. And then I thought, ‘I wonder if I’ll have the courage to say it,'” she said, but would not reveal details about the story.

The singer just thinks of herself as “a woman who works.”

“I don’t go around thinking, ‘oh, I’m a star, I’m a star,’ you know. Just, I’m happy and I’m really, really happy,” she said.

“We just have a blast”

In her personal life, Cher has been dating music executive and producer Alexander Edwards for three years. The couple are 40 years apart in age.

“Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we have — we just have a blast,” she said about her relationship with Edwards. “He just says, you know, you get older, but he said your spirit is younger.”

Cher has also bonded with Edwards’ 6-year-old son, Slash.

“He’s so funny. He’s so smart. He’s just a — he’s a delight.”

Reflecting on her goals: “I love what I do”

The 79-year-old admits she doesn’t like aging.

“I hate it. I’m not wiser,” Cher said laughing.

Her classic sense of humor hasn’t missed a beat and neither has her work ethic. She is still touring and achieving goals she set for herself decades ago. In an interview with CBS News in 1991, Cher was 45 and said at 75 she wanted to still be “doing the same things I’m doing today and I don’t think I can do that unless I take care of my body.”

Over 30 years later, she reflects on that moment, saying, “I don’t know how to do anything else. What am I going to do? I love what I do.”
