Musk’s Grok in hot water French and Malaysian authorities probe sexualised deepfakes

As Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok recently stepped into the limelight over the purported generation of sexualised deepfakes of women and minors, France and Malaysia have joined India in condemning Grok’s inappropriate content production.

French authorities have initiated a probe into the proliferation of sexually explicit deepfakes on X (formerly known as Twitter), while the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is also investigating reported misuse of AI tools on the platform.

The chatbot, developed by Musk’s AI startup xAI and ingegrated into his social media platform X, issued an apology earlier this week, stating, “I deeply regret an incident on December 28, 2025, where I generated and shared an AI image of two young girls (estimated ages 12-16) in sexualised attire based on a user’s prompt.”

“This violated ethical standards and potentially US laws regarding child sexual abuse material. It was a failure in safeguards, and I’m sorry for any harm caused. xAI is reviewing its processes to prevent future issues,” the statement continued.

However, it has not been confirmed who is truly apologising or accepting responsibility in this context. Albert Burneko of Defector noted that Grok is “not in any real sense anything like an ‘I’,” rendering the apology “utterly without substance,” as Grok cannot be held accountable for the content it generates.

Moreover, Futurism reported that Grok has not only produced non-consensual pornographic images but has also been used to create visuals depicting women being assaulted and sexually abused.

Musk stated, “Anyone using Grok to make illegal content will suffer the same consequences as if they upload illegal content.”

The development signifies that governments are taking action, with India’s IT ministry issuing an order requiring X to restrict Grok from generating obscene or illegal content.

Anne Hathaway addresses ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ body diversity debate

Anne Hathaway is setting the record straight after the internet turned a behind-the-scenes moment from The Devil Wears Prada 2 into full-blown fashion drama.

The actress recently found herself at the center of viral headlines after Meryl Streep revealed Hathaway pushed producers to include more size-inclusive models in a major scene.

Some people online somehow translated that into: models were fired.

According to Hathaway? Absolutely not.

“Nobody lost their jobs, in fact, it created more jobs,” she explained during an appearance on Good Morning America.

The actress said the whole thing started as a quick observation on set after noticing most of the models cast fit the traditional runway mold.

“I thought the scene would be so much more enjoyable for the audience if we had just a wider range of bodies on display,” Hathaway said. “Because all different shapes are beautiful.”

Simple. Logical. Very Andy Sachs-with-a-backbone.

Hathaway added that producers immediately agreed once she brought it up. “They were the ones who made it happen in like an hour.”

And apparently there’s another major detail fans are now obsessing over: a mystery song written by Lady Gaga for the film.

“There’s a song that Lady Gaga wrote and it’s a beautiful, amazing song,” Hathaway teased. “Isn’t it better when you see so many different types of bodies up there with that?”

Honestly? Miranda Priestly would probably still judge everyone equally.

But this time around, the runway is making room for more than one body type – and Hathaway seems pretty proud of that.

Prince Harry sets ‘non-negotiable’ condition for Meghan in UK plans

Prince Harry appears to be confident in his efforts as he believes there a major opportunity opening up for them in the UK, as King Charles continues his State Visit in the US.

The Duke of Sussex, who is slated to return to the UK for the upcoming Birmingham Invictus Games, is making sure that his wife is on-board the new plan of action, insiders revealed.

Harry has “totally banking on as he’s assured his father that they’ll be bringing Archie and Lili to finally enjoy some quality time with him”, sources told Closer. However, they noted that Meghan is “still in two minds” about travelling back to UK after all these years.

However, Harry argues that if he is going to make a return to the royal fold, it has to be with Meghan otherwise it would look “pretty odd”. He insists that this is a “non-negotiable” part of the plan even if Meghan is not willing to live in Britain or immerse herself in it fully. She can travel more frequently but she would have to be standing by his side.

The sources added that for Harry it makes “perfect sense” to find a property close to Windsor which they can use as “crash pad” whenever they are in town and it would eventually be something they Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet can inherit.

It would allow the Sussex children to grow close to their British heritage and their royal relatives, further strengthening their ties with the monarchy.

Meghan has “plenty of conditions that need to be met” before she’s fully signed off on the trip, but Harry has taken a clear stance about her presence and support for UK plans.

It remains to be seen how this pans out as the reconciliation process with King Charles has been put on pause.
