Lilibet, Archie likely to see ‘fantastic’ King Charles in US next year

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s children Archie and Lilibet are expected to see their grandfather King Charles in US next year.

The meeting is expected as US President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to invite King Charles following his state visit to Britain.

The senior White House official told The Telegraph about Trump’s visit to UK: “It was a really fantastic trip. The British know how to do this perfectly.

“They set the bar high for their trip to see us.”

The official revealed Trump wants to give King Charles a leading role at celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary of independence from British rule.

The event is scheduled for next year, with the royal visit believed to be in the early planning stages, the GB News reported.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump said: “We’re grateful beyond words for the spectacular honour of the State Visit yesterday at Windsor Castle, hosted by His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty, Queen Camilla.

“These are two fantastic people. We will never forget it.”

Donald Trump and his wife Melania visited the Windsor Castle on Wednesday on a State Visit to the King and Queen.

King Charles and Queen Camilla gave a State Banquet in honour of Trump at which the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

Meghan Markle raises eyebrows beyond palace with latest announcement

Meghan Markle raises eyebrows beyond palace with latest announcement

Meghan Markle has raised eyebrows beyond the palace with her latest move, a royal expert has claimed.

Speaking to the Fox News Digital, royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes the palace would have taken notice and given their disapproval behind closed doors after Meghan appeared in the upcoming Amazon MGM comedy Close Personal Friends.

Meghan was spotted on set in Pasadena, California, where an insider tells PEOPLE she appeared “relaxed and happy” while filming alongside Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.

Schofield said, “While Prince William was in Brazil celebrating the Earthshot Prize, reports surfaced that Meghan Markle had been spotted on the set of a new film.

“Meghan drawing headlines away from Prince William’s high-profile event will not go unnoticed by the palace. The pattern of Harry and Meghan retreating from the spotlight for months, only to reemerge during William’s major moments, is something his team is acutely aware of.”

“The timing of the announcement has raised eyebrows beyond the palace.”

Schofield further said, “This overlap has prompted speculation about whether the movie leak was coincidental or a calculated attempt to distract from negative headlines. The only way this cameo will work for Meghan is if the movie is successful, and she presents herself in a self-deprecating manner, showing she can laugh at her own image and reputation.”

How “48 Hours” helped Sydney Sweeney prep for new role as champion boxer Christy Martin

People often discuss which Hollywood star might play them in a movie about their life. For legendary boxer Christy Martin, the actor turned out to be Sydney Sweeney. Sweeney transformed into “Christy,” which hits theaters on Nov. 7.

Before Martin’s story was told on the big screen, she sat down with “48 Hours” in 2020 to share her story. An encore of “Christy Martin – the Fight of her Life” airs Saturday, Nov. 8, at 9/8c on CBS and streams on Paramount+.

Raised as a coal miner’s daughter in a small town in West Virginia, to becoming a world championship boxer, Martin made headlines as a pioneer in women’s boxing. But few knew of the personal battles she was facing outside the ring.

In the episode, “48 Hours” details the story of Martin’s struggles with identity, acceptance, drug addiction, and domestic violence at the hands of her former husband and trainer, Jim Martin. “The same story that you guys got, Sydney puts out there for the people to see and to gain inspiration from,” Martin recently told “48 Hours.”

Sweeney spent months preparing for the role, including intense boxing training to recreate Martin’s actual fights. In addition to physical preparations, Sweeney told “48 Hours” about the research she did to play Christy. “I mean, I had a lot to be able to pull from and go off of. She had her book, there was the ’48 Hours’ special … There were interviews and fight footage. So there was a lot I could prepare with before I met Christy, and then I had Christy in my corner, so I was able to ask her questions and have her by my side and be able to watch her.”

Martin requested the writers not to “Hollywoodize” her life as they scripted her story. Martin said writer Mirrah Foulkes responded, “There’s enough crazy s*** that’s happened in your life, we don’t have to.”

As her survival story continues to reach more people, Martin hopes it can help inspire others. “We’re showing a pathway to get out of a domestic violence situation. We’re showing how important it is for parents, relatives, friends to be accepting of someone who’s a little different … But I’m the ultimate underdog … If you can believe it, you can achieve it. Dream big. My Dad used to tell me to dream big, and I think I did.”
