Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs gets out of prison early

Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be released from prison earlier than expected, with his release date moved forward by roughly six weeks as he continues to appeal his four-year sentence.

According to a report by Page Six, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has updated Combs’ release date from 4th June 2028 to 25th April 2028.

The change follows his acceptance into the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) in November, which can result in a reduced sentence for participants who engage fully.

It has not been a straightforward road to that earlier date.

Combs’ sentence had actually been lengthened in November 2025, pushed out from 8th May 2028 to 4th June 2028, after he allegedly violated multiple prison rules.

He was also accused of participating in a three-way phone call, which is prohibited in the facility.

The music mogul, who has been held at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey since his arrest in September 2024, is also fighting his conviction through the courts.

In December, his lawyers filed an appeal demanding either his immediate release, a reversal of the conviction, or a reduced sentence.

The appeal argued that prosecutors failed to prove their case and that the sentencing judge imposed terms that violated his constitutional rights.

Prosecutors filed their opposition to the appeal in February.

Combs was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Following a two-month trial, he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and acquitted on the remaining charges.

‘Sinners’ actress Li Jun Li to star in ‘The Last Of Us’ season 3

Li Jun Li is heading to the post-apocalypse.

The Sinners breakout star has been cast in season three of HBO’s The Last of Us, Deadline has confirmed, playing Miriam, a Seraphite and the mother of Lev and Yara.

Li came to widespread attention for her critically acclaimed performance as Grace Chow in Ryan Coogler’s Oscar-winning Sinners

Her casting joins previously announced additions Michelle Mao, from Bridgerton, and Kyriana Kratter, who will play siblings Yara and Lev respectively.

Season three will adapt the second half of the Part II video game, shifting the central focus to Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever.

It marks a significant change of direction from the first two seasons, which followed Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, as they navigated a world destroyed by a fungal outbreak twenty years earlier.

Season two picked up five years after the original, drawing the pair into new and more unpredictable conflict.

Craig Mazin, who co-created the series alongside the game’s Neil Druckmann and served as co-showrunner on the first two seasons, takes sole showrunner duties for season three.

For Li, the role continues what is shaping up to be a strong run of high-profile projects.

She is also set to appear opposite Nicolas Cage in the live-action series Spider-Noir, which premieres on Prime Video on 27 May.

David Harbour onboards cast of ‘John Rambo’

David Harbour onboards cast of ‘John Rambo’

David Harbour onboards cast of ‘John Rambo’

David Harbour has joined the cast of John Rambo, the origin story prequel to the iconic Sylvester Stallone franchise, taking on the role of Major Trautman, Rambo’s commanding officer and the closest thing the one-man fighting force has ever had to a calming influence.

The Stranger Things star is a late addition to the film, which wrapped production in Thailand in March.

In the original Rambo trilogy of the 1980s, the role of Trautman was played by Richard Crenna.

Harbour steps into those shoes for a story set before the events of First Blood, following a young John Rambo, played by Noah Centineo, as a soldier fighting in the jungle, years before he becomes the stoic loner audiences came to know.

The film is directed by Jalmari Helander, the Finnish filmmaker behind the Sisu movies, known for their brutal and uncompromising action.

It is another high-profile addition to what is shaping up to be a very busy period for Harbour.

He is currently receiving strong notices for his role as Floyd Smernitch in DTF St. Louis, has Avengers: Doomsday in post-production, and is also working on Violent Night 2, Evil Genius and Lionsgate’s A Head Full of Ghosts

He previously worked with AGBO on Extraction, making John Rambo a reunion of sorts with the production company.
