Lily Collins hails husband’s ‘incredible’ support amid motherhood challenges

Lily Collins calls husband her anchor during motherhood struggles

Lily Collins and husband Charlie McDowell are still going strong after four years of marriage and after the actress’s struggles of being a mom.

The Emily In Paris star took to her Instagram account on Thursday, September 4 to mark her 4th wedding anniversary with McDowell, along with their wedding snap and a photo with their daughter on a beach side.

In the celebratory post, Collins posted a heartfelt note for her husband for his support during her journey as a mother, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Tove Jane McDowell, back in January via surrogacy.

“Four years ago I married my best friend, and today, we not only have our steadfast buddy @redforddog but our newest and most magical bestie T,” Collins wrote, referring to their daughter. “I cannot express how lucky I feel to be yours every single day.”

“Thank you for being the most incredible dad, wonderful husband, supportive partner, and inspiring other half. You go above and beyond in our family — it’s the big picture things but it’s really, most importantly, the daily little things you do that blow my mind,” she gushed over McDowell.

“I couldn’t have worked, let alone functioned, these past few months without you stepping in and up as you have. With the highs and lows, your steadfast love gets me through and I never could have imagined a life or partnership like ours. To think it’s just the beginning, grateful doesn’t even begin to describe it. I love you beyond,” she added.

Expert reveals why Duke of York title will remain dormant after Andrew

Prince Louis is unlikely ever to hold the title Duke of York, a royal commentator has predicted.

According to GB News, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the People’s Channel that the title’s association with Prince Andrew, who recently surrendered the use of his royal titles amid renewed scrutiny of his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, makes it “too soon” for another royal to inherit it.

“Certain titles are identified with their holders, maybe unfairly,” Fitzwilliams said.

“We are in an age where instant information is available, and Duke of York rings alarm bells worldwide.”

Traditionally, the title has been granted to the sovereign’s second son since the 15th century.

Queen Elizabeth II’s father, King George VI, was the Duke of York before ascending the throne, and Prince Andrew received it upon his marriage in 1986.

However, Fitzwilliams believes that, following years of damaging headlines and Andrew’s infamous 2019 BBC interview with Emily Maitlis, “there probably will never be another Duke of York.”

He compared the situation to the Duke of Windsor title, which was retired following King Edward VIII’s abdication in 1936.

When Prince Andrew dies, the title is expected to revert to the Crown, potentially remaining dormant for generations.

Netflix releases ‘Emily in Paris’ trailer

As the series is known for its Parisian roots, Darren assured fans, “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris.”

“We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”

The shooting on the Netflix show happened in Venice at the Danieli palace.

In addition to Lily, the series stars Eugenio Franceschini, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert) and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie).
