Royal Princess photo emerges in Epstein files weeks after Palace notice
Fears sweep royal families across Europe as shocking revelations have come to light in the latest tranche of Epstein files released by the Department of Justice in US.
King Charles had ousted his shamed brother Andrew from the royal fold, stripping off the shamed royal of his honours and titles including Prince-style, over his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. After the King’s landmark move, a beloved royal’s name emerged in the documents.
The Swedish Royal Court had to release a statement which confirmed that Princess Sofia, wife of Prince Carl Philip, had met Epstein but asserted that Sofia did not have any contact with the financier since 2005.
Although, a new email from 2010 reveals that Epstein was receiving updates on the Sofia, as she was getting ready to marry the Prince. Epstein had been interested in inviting Sofia to his private island in the Caribbean.
Sofia’s connection came from her mentor, financier Barbro Ehnbom, who had ties to Epstein. He had introduced her to Epstein as an “aspiring” actress.
In the email sent by Barbro, as it was signed off as ‘BE’, he sent a photo of “our Sofia” who had been enjoying her time in Africa.
Epstein replied by asking whether she wanted to come to the Caribbean and offering to send a ticket.
The exchange was from the time when Sofia had started dating the second son of King Carl XVI Gustaf. She went on to marry Prince Carl Philip in 2015, and welcomed four children together.
There has been no new statement from the Royal Courts so far.

Uma Thurman bags praise from ‘Pretty Lethal’ director Vicky Jewson
Uma Thurman is stepping back into villain territory, and the director behind her latest role couldn’t be more gushy about what she brings to the part.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the world premiere of Pretty Lethal during the 2026 SXSW Film Festival in Austin on 13 March, director Vicky Jewson was unstinting in her praise for the 55-year-old actress.
“Uma is obviously an icon, and she can play a villain like nobody else can,” Jewson said.
“She has a wicked sense of humour, and she also brings empathy to the character that allows you to stay with the character when the most absurd stuff happens. I don’t think anyone but someone of Uma’s talent could do that.”
In Pretty Lethal, Thurman plays Devora Kasimer, a reclusive former ballet prodigy running an unsettling roadside inn.
The film follows five ballerinas travelling to a dance competition whose bus breaks down in a forest, forcing them to seek shelter at Devora’s inn, where things quickly take a sinister turn.
As the situation turns deadly, the young dancers must set aside their rivalries and turn their years of brutal training into something rather more useful than performance, weaponising their skills, and even their pointe shoes, for survival.
It’s a role that adds to Thurman’s already formidable villainous CV, which includes Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin and Discord in last year’s The Old Guard 2.
Thurman is joined in the film by Iris Apatow, Lana Condor, Millicent Simmonds, Avantika and Maddie Ziegler.
Pretty Lethal premieres on Prime Video on 25 March.

PCB unveils revised schedule for PSL 11
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday announced a revised schedule for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after deciding to hold the tournament without spectators under the government’s austerity measures.
In a significant restructuring, the number of host cities has been reduced from six to two, with all matches now set to be played exclusively in Lahore and Karachi. The decision aligns with officially announced national resource conservation efforts.
According to the updated itinerary, the tournament will comprise 44 matches played over 39 days, with each city hosting 22 fixtures. The opening match between the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Lahore Qalandars remains unchanged.
Lahore will host Eliminators 1 and 2, as well as the final, while the Qualifier will take place in Karachi.
As the tournament temporarily adopts a watch-from-home model, organisers have confirmed the introduction of enhanced broadcast and production features designed to deliver a superior viewing experience for fans in Pakistan and around the world.
League officials expressed confidence that audience passion, combined with innovative coverage, would make this one of the most widely watched editions to date.
Addressing the absence of in-person spectators, a statement acknowledged that crowds at stadiums would be sorely missed.
It was estimated that an average of 30,000 spectators and associated support staff travelling daily for over a month would place considerable strain on energy resources.
By limiting the tournament to two cities, the league said it would also significantly reduce the extensive operational arrangements, transport logistics, and utility overheads associated with a six-city event.
Organisers reaffirmed their commitment to delivering high-quality cricket while aligning with national priorities, stating that the league would proceed with the unity, discipline, and excellence that have established it as a defining symbol of Pakistan’s sporting strength.
