Colombian music star Yeison Jimenez dead at 34 after fatal plane crash
Yeison Jiménez, one of Colombia’s most beloved música popular stars, has died at 34 after a plane crash just hours before he was set to perform.
According to The Sun, the singer was travelling to Medellín on Saturday, January 10, for a concert, when his aircraft — believed to be owned by Jiménez’s firm YJ Company SAS — went down shortly after takeoff at 4 p.m. The crash killed all six people on board. The other victims were identified as Jefferson Osorio, Juan Manuel, Oscar Marín, Weisman Mora, and Captain Fernando Torres.
His photographer, Mora, shared video from inside the aircraft shortly before the crash. Footage obtained by The Sun later showed the wreckage engulfed in flames as emergency responders rushed to the scene.
Shortly after the incident, the Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics announced on X that a plane with registration N325FA crashed “in the area between Paipa and Duitama” while en route to Medellín. Jiménez’s death was later confirmed in a statement by his representatives posted to his Instagram.
“With heavy hearts and indescribable grief, Yeison Jiménez’s organisation and team deeply regret to announce his passing,” the message read, describing the musician as “a human being full of dreams and courage, who transformed his story into a source of hope for thousands.”
The Technical Directorate for Accident Investigation is investigating the crash. Jiménez is survived by his wife and three children.

Popular Influencer Haley Kalil appears to take subtle jab at ex husband
Popular influencer Haley Kalil seemingly took a subtle jab at her ex-husband Matt Kalil after he sued her.
The model, known by her social media username haleyybaylee, recently shed light on a specific quality she wants to have in her potential love interest.
The 33-year-old was at the 2026 WWD Style Awards when she shared her “ins and outs” for 2026, involving a hunt for “good guys.”
“We need some good guys,” she told E! News. “Out is going to be ego, pride, being a mean anybody. Like, say ‘goodbye’ to mean and ‘hello’ to nice.”
Her “good guys” comments appeared to be a low-key dig at her former partner in the wake of his legal action following her explicit remarks about him.
For the unversed, Matt, 36, is suing Haley over what she said about his body during a Twitch live stream in November 2025.
Following her private and inappropriate comments, the former NFL star chose to initiate a legal action against her, claiming the former beauty pageant titleholder’s comments had garnered him “unwanted attention and invasive commentary.”
The point of contention was about privacy, consent, and reputational harm.
Matt has emphasised that Haley crossed a line by publicly discussing intimate details about him.

Lukas Gage teases Emily Bader’s future after ‘People We Meet on Vacation’
Lukas Gage is sharing high praise for his People We Meet on Vacation co-star Emily Bader as the new Netflix movie arrives for fans.
The 30-year-old actor stars alongside Bader in the highly anticipated film adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling novel.
Speaking to People magazine at the movie’s premiere earlier this week, Gage said he believes Bader is on the verge of major stardom.
“I knew that Brett Haley was directing, who I’m such a fan of, and then Emily Bader, who is the biggest star in the world — the world doesn’t know it yet, [but] after this movie, she’s going to be,” Gage said.
“She and Tom [Blyth] are so incredible.”
Gage also opened up about the pressure and excitement of joining a project that already has a devoted fan base thanks to the popular book.
“It’s so crazy to be on something with such a huge fan base and you want to give it justice and you want to make sure that your portrayal of this character is what people envision in their head when they read the book,” he said.
People We Meet on Vacation has been eagerly awaited by fans of Henry’s novel, which follows a longtime friendship that evolves into something more over years of shared trips.
The Netflix film is now available to stream, with audiences eager to see how the beloved story translates to the screen — and whether Gage’s prediction about Bader’s breakout moment comes true.
