Donnie Wahlberg says he and Sonequa Martin-Green “lean on each other” in “Boston Blue”

Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green are bringing a new dynamic with “Boston Blue,” a spinoff of the long-running drama “Blue Bloods.”
The series follows Wahlberg’s character, Detective Danny Reagan, as he takes a new position with the Boston Police Department. There, he’s partnered with Detective Lena Silver, played by Martin-Green, who comes from another prominent law enforcement family.
Wahlberg said it was hard to say goodbye to “Blue Bloods,” but that he eventually saw “Boston Blue” as an “opportunity to keep family, faith and tradition on TV, to tell a story of a law enforcement family, and to keep the Reagans alive in this new world with an amazing new cast and an amazing new partner.”
Martin-Green, who previously starred in “Star Trek: Discovery” and “The Walking Dead,” said she drew on her experience working within major television franchises.
“I just couldn’t have expected it. I didn’t think ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ would come after ‘Walking Dead, and I certainly didn’t think another beloved TV franchise would come after ‘Star Trek: Discovery.’ So, I’ve learned a lot about doing that, about building new iterations of beloved franchises,” she said.
Wahlberg said his chemistry with Martin-Green has been key to shaping “Boston Blue.” He credited her experience and talent for helping define the show’s new world and described their partnership as one built on trust and collaboration.
“She really brings so much to the table in that experience, but also in her talent,” Wahlberg said. “The show is, you know, it’s a universe show. It’s a spinoff. However you want to refer to it. But it is a new world as well. Danny is a fish out of water and he meets someone that really is one of the reasons he stays. Not that it’s romantic or anything, but he meets an equal.”
He described their working relationship as collaborative.
“We lean on each other. We talk to each other constantly. We are constantly working for the success of this show,” Wahlberg said.
“Boston Blue” premieres Friday at 10 p.m. on CBS and will stream on Paramount+.

Prince Andrew victim Virgina Giuffre speaks on his entitlement: ‘His birthright’

Prince Andrew’s abuse victim has shed light on her experience in an honest confession.
In a posthumous memoir, Virginia Giuffre has described she was chosen to ‘please’ the Duke of York by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
In an excerpt from “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice,” Giuffre noted that after a night of dancing at London hotspot Tramp, Maxwell allegedly told her: “When we get home, you are to do for him what you do for Jeffrey.”
She added: “Back at the house, Maxwell and Epstein said goodnight and headed upstairs, signaling it was time that I take care of the prince. In the years since, I’ve thought a lot about how he behaved. He was friendly enough, but still entitled.”
The deceased added that she saw Andrew full of himself, pretending that it was his ‘birthright’ to abuse her.’
Giuffre then explained her discomfort and admitted that experience was traumatising.
“Afterward, he said thank you in his clipped British accent. In my memory, the whole thing lasted less than half an hour,” she wrote.
Giuffre then added that Maxwell allegedly told her the next morning: “You did well. The prince had fun.”

Gwyneth Paltrow shocked to learn Timothee’s girlfriend was Kylie Jenner

Gwyneth Paltrow was impressed with her costar, Timothee Chalamet, dating a woman has two kids, but she was not aware it was Kylie Jenner.
In a new interview with British Vogue, the Oscar-winning actress revealed her surprise upon learning about the couple’s relationship when Paltrow first began working with Chalamet on their upcoming movie, Marty Supreme.
“Everyone makes fun of me because I don’t know anything,” Paltrow shared. “I was like, ‘Do you have a girlfriend?’ And he was like, ‘I do.’ He mentioned that she had kids and I was like, ‘That’s so cool. I really love to hear that [from] a young man like you.’ “
She went on to say, “I understand a 45-year-old who has his own kids going out with a woman with kids, but it’s a cool choice to go out with a young woman who has two kids.”
“I respect it. I think it’s kind of punk rock. But my point is I didn’t know [it was] Kylie Jenner…” she added.
The Wonka star and Jenner are romantically linked since 2023.
The make-up mogul welcomed her two kids, Stormi and Aire, with ex boyfriend, Travis Scott.
Paltrow and Chalamet are all set to share the big screen and their new film is going to be her first major role since 2019.
Moreover, Marty Supreme has already created a buzz after Chalamet and Paltrow’s loved-up scenes from the set went viral last year.
In a previous interview with Vanity Fair, she shared that their film has “a lot” of intimate scenes.

Paramount Pictures drops hint of what’s coming tomorrow

It opens with a chilling 911 call with the voice of a female heard speaking in fear, “He’s gonna kill me. He killed all the others.”
That’s the teaser that Paramount Pictures dropped about Primate, whose official trailer will arrive tomorrow.
The movie’s synopsis gives an insight into why there is a fear in the air. “Home from college, Lucy reunites with family, including pet chimp Ben. Ben contracts rabies during a pool party and turns aggressive. Lucy and friends barricade in pool, devising ways to survive the vicious chimp.”
Moreover, a review in Bloody Disgusting also provides a key understanding of the movie whose 42-second teaser dropped today.
“Ben is practical, spectacularly crafted by Millennium FX, and played by movement specialist Miguel Torres Umba,” the critic Meagan Navarro writes.
“The chimp’s transformation from sweet pet to terrifying monster serves as the film’s biggest asset, enhanced by chilling shot composition and expert pacing that tests even the steeliest of nerves,” she notes.
“Primate may not ultimately impress for originality, but as an old school animal attack creature feature, it’s an adrenaline rush of fun,” the reviewer concludes.
Johannes Roberts serves as the director, while he also wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera, and Walter Hamada is the producer. Meanwhile, the film’s cast includes Johnny Sequoyah and Troy Kotsur.
Primate will open in cinemas on Jan, 9.
