‘I cried through my pain’
Lili Reinhart has opened up about a frightening health journey that led to her diagnosis with both endometriosis and adenomyosis, revealing that a single word in a Google search brought her to tears in the middle of the night.
In a personal essay for Elle magazine published on Thursday, 12th March, the Riverdale actress, 29, detailed the lengthy process of trying to get answers about chronic bladder pain she had been experiencing.
Despite seeing around eight doctors, not one had raised the possibility of endometriosis as a cause, until her pelvic floor therapist mentioned it.
“None of the eight or so doctors I had seen before her had mentioned it,” she wrote.
She eventually brought it up with her urogynecologist, who referred her to a specialist in minimally invasive gynaecological care. Tests followed, including an ultrasound and an MRI.
Her initial results came back showing no endometriosis, but did flag adenomyosis.
When Reinhart looked up the condition, one listed symptom stopped her in her tracks: infertility.
“I had no plans to become pregnant within the next few years, but I know I want kids eventually and suddenly the desires I had for my future felt disrupted,” she wrote.
She went home and woke up her boyfriend Jack Martin.
“He asked me what happened, but I didn’t have the words or energy to explain it in the moment. He just held me while I cried through my pain, confusion and frustration.”
The road to a definitive answer was not straightforward.
Her doctor raised the possibility of a hysterectomy to manage pain, while a second opinion from an endometriosis surgeon recommended laparoscopic surgery to investigate further.
Reinhart’s own gynaecologist cautioned that the surgery might find nothing, and that endometriosis often grows back, a particular concern given Reinhart’s interest in egg freezing.
She ultimately went ahead with the surgery, and the surgeon confirmed she did have endometriosis.
“In an instant, I felt validated. My pain, discomfort and suffering for over a year was no longer an unknown question,” she wrote.
Reinhart recovered with loved ones around her and was well enough to travel to see family over the holidays.

Jennifer Aniston reacts to ex-husband Justin Theroux’s baby news
Jennifer Aniston is sending her love to her ex-husband as he embarks on a new chapter.
The Friends alum quietly showed support for Justin Theroux after he welcomed his first child with wife Nicole Brydon Bloom, liking the couple’s baby announcement on Instagram. Also celebrating the news was Aniston’s longtime friend and Friends costar Courteney Cox.
Theroux and Bloom shared the news on April 18 with a black-and-white photo of the actor holding their newborn son. “He’s here… we are so in love,” the pair captioned the post, marking a major milestone for the couple, who tied the knot just last year.
Aniston’s subtle gesture speaks to the bond she and Theroux have maintained since their 2018 split. The former couple, who met in 2007 and later reconnected while filming Wanderlust, were married in 2015 before announcing their separation three years later.
Despite the breakup, they’ve remained close over the years, often supporting each other publicly.
Theroux himself addressed their dynamic in a past interview, saying, “She is still very dear to me,” highlighting the mutual respect that continues to define their relationship.
He further expressed his happiness when The Morning Show star went public with her relationship with Jim Curtis in 2025 by liking the couple’s Instagram post.

Cardi B nearly cancels her final ‘Little Miss Drama Tour’ show: Here’s why
Cardi B nearly cancelled the final concert of her Little Miss Drama Tour.
Hours before she was supposed to take the State Farm Arena stage in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, April 18, the Grammy-winning rapper jumped on her Instagram Live mid-altercation with the staff.
“I’m not performing today, let me tell you why,” yells Cardi. “Because your employees are being f***ing rude for no reason. Pointing fingers for no reason. Touching people for no reason.”
“I did 35 shows and I’ve never had a problem, and we’ve been kind to everybody. So no, now I’m leaving!” the rapper says before storming out.
However, Cardi took to X shortly after to clarify that she will still be performing. “When you hold power and authority, use it with kindness and respect. Never abuse it… because not everyone will endure your arrogance in silence,” wrote Cardi. “Treat others exactly like you demand to be treated. Atlanta… I’ll see you soon.”
It still took Cardi some time to cool off after taking the stage and she vowed to never perform in the arena again. “I’m pissed off right now, I ain’t gonna lie,” she told the audience, according to fan-captured videos. “This Arena been playing a lot of games with me… Next time, I’m having my concert in a f***ing parking lot, b***h!” she joked.
